I am a student in bachelor of science in nursing program. While in my clinical rotations, I was able to care for many patients who have several health problems. My care includes administering medication on time, taking vital signs, giving bath, feeding patients who were not able to feed themselves, transferring patients from bed to wheelchair and helping them in bathroom.

My in-home caregiving experience was very meaningful work. I grew up with a grandfather who was disabled yet he was the strongest man I've ever known. I feel like people in need deserve to be heard and am fulfilled providing that care and companionship.

Having had family members with a variety of illnesses (ie. 3 kidney transplants, heat attack, strokes, cancer, dialysis, dementia and Alzheimers, numerous surgeries, and Diabetics) I have had the opportunity to provide comfort, care, and love to them which has not only made their lives better, but enriched mine as well. I am quite knowledgeable with blood pressure cuffs, diabetic meters, dialysis equipment, wound care, hygiene, and following dietary requirements for those requiring them. What I don't know, I am able to respond to and find the answers needed. I am no stranger to hospitals, dialysis units, and doctor offices and know the right questions to ask making notes for reference and for follow-up. I have provide medication lists and medical information cards for family members as well as for the public. Most importantly, I have a loving heart, patience, warmth, and a great sense of humor which is so important. Because of my experience as an assistant manager for 8 years in retail, I am able to make quick and sound decisions, assess a situation rapidly, and provide great customer care and concern. I have had the opportunity to work with all nature of people, and supervised as many as 50 associates at one time. In addition, there has been many occassions where I have had to provide or seek medical attention for customers at a moments notice.As a caregiver for my parents over a four year period, I know the compassion necessary to see them through difficult

Since I was fifteen i have taken care of my grandmother who is bed ridden. I decided to go to school because my real mother had passed away when I was born, I wanted to get into nursing to help others and assist patients in need. I have worked with several patients that have different situations and I love making patients smile just by helping them with even the smallest of things. I also have 3 children. Being a caregiver is something I enjoy doing. I like work with the elderly. I care about the senior condition n needs. I enjoyed listening to there stories. I have been a caregiver for 10 yrs n its something that am proud of.

Hello! I began care-giving for my grandmother at a very young age. She was my world. She had type 1 diabetes and cancer. I went w/her to all of her clinic appt's, made her breakfast and lunch, and gave her insulin shots twice daily. I always attended senior community clubs & due to that interaction I have always felt connected to the elderly. They inspire me and I find all of their stories amazing. I have Volunteered in Hospice. I was a caregiver for a 96 year old woman with dementia, diabetes, and cancer. I recently worked for a 46 year old female that had surgery complications and was bed ridden. She is well now and a good friend of mine.I enjoy caring and loving and spending quality time with people, especially those in need. We are all in need at some point in our lives and how beautiful it is when we have someone there for us. Someone we can trust and depend on. I am very mature for my age, respectful, and have alot of common sense. Your loved one will be safe with me.

Being a Caregiver has been my career for well over 15 years. In having clients of all ages with many different illnesses, I've learned to work in many situations or cases like; Down Syndrome, Autism, Alzheimer's, Stroke, Heart Attack Victims, multiple cancers including bone marrow and brain tumors. Building a good relationship with my client and their family is most important to me, because it makes my job easier and I can be more affective in caring, and attending to their needs.
