My name is Kiara Patterson. I am a 29 year old mother of two beautiful children a 12 years old boy & 5 month old baby girl. I grew up in the city of Los Angeles where I went to Locke High School, but didn't finish because of personal reason. I dropped out in 12th grade & obtained my GED. I recently moved to San Bernardino County following the birth of my baby girl. I love playing sports basketball & football which I still play. I currently work part time as an EMT & I am currently in the hiring process with the Los Angeles City Fire Department. I just recently applied to San Bernardino Valley College to start taking courses towards entering in their RN program as I wait to see if I make it through with the Fire Department. Throughout my years of living I have been through & experienced many different circumstances that has prepared & is still preparing for whatever career my future bless me with. I love being able to make others feel like they are still someone special on their worst of days. I want to be able to be that person towards others I would want to show up to my door step when I am in need. So I am here & ready to be there for others if they need me.

Finding the satisfaction of knowing my clients are thriving is what I enjoy most about being a caregiver. Nursing clients back to health and keeping them safe is my main goal as a caregiver. I have experience with hospital based nursing and home care experience that gives an advantage to care for my clients safely and ultimately promoting their health.

I have been a caregiver for 3 years now working in a memory care facility and I love my residents and give them the best care that I can. The program was very informative, and the clinical- profound, but I had to leave the program to take on another job once my niece came to live with me after her mother's health declined. The compassion I have to help others has never left. I worked as a caregiver for a company in California for two years and also for a private family. Taking care of a loved one can be very difficult, especially when one must juggle a career and children's activities as well. I know it's hard to manage your time under the circumstances, but this is where I come in. Realizing you need help, is the first step to getting it. I'm ready to help your loved one reach and maintain their potential physically, and emotionally. I am an honest, caring, trustworthy, funny (at least I think so), empathetic, and understanding caregiver, ready to assist in your time of need. I've worked with seniors who've had problems with dementia, mobility issues, MS, diabetes, high blood pressure, post-operative surgery, stroke victims, and more. I aim to give my clients the best in quality care.

What makes me a great caregiver is that I am genuine in what I do and I have been in this field for 10 years plus. I am very understand, patient, and an all around kind hearted person, I love to laugh and tend to always brighten up my patient's days. I decided to become a caregiver when a really close friend of mine was diagnosed with Cancer. I was the only one who was there for him and I took classes and decided that it was meant because I always would naturally care for my grandmother who was going to dialysis when I was growing up I would always make sure she had what she needed throughout the day before school and after school. I developed a strong love for caring for others. The most I enjoy out of being a caregiver is my patient's' response to me when I make them feel better or get done with doing something they really wanted me to do or needed done I really enjoy making their day or seeing them smile thru what they're going through and knowing I had something to do with. I am proud of myself for nursing over 20 patients some I can call up right now and have the most beautiful conversation with and some that are watching over me as I continue this journey with others like them. I love what I do and I am ready to keep going!

I believe that I am a great caregiver for the patience I have. I was hit by a car and it took me about three months to recover from all my surgeries, so I know what it is like to need extra help for daily tasks. I can empathize with those I work with and because I am so lucky to be alive I am proud and excited to give someone else that sort of hope.
