I became a care giver when my grandparents where diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer's. I had grown up with my grandma taking care of my great grandmother. So I knew what was going to happen. I quit my job and stayed home to help them. I am a caregiver because I want to help others suffering with this disease to find comfort in everyday living. Having gone threw my personal experience with Alzheimer's I know what it feels like to have a loved one in need, helping to relive family stress is also why I am a caregiver.

As a caregiver for adults, I am committed to the utmost ethical, responsible, and respectful treatment of the elder population. I enjoy assisting seniors with activities of daily living, ADL, assist with occupational and physical therapy, monitor and record vitals signs, provide transportation, errands, companion care, and any other assistance the client may need. I have much empathy for people who have had major or minor surgeries. I strive to make a positive difference for each unique individual. I want to help families in any way I can, to ensure that your Elder is safe and that you are satisfied with my services. I do take pride with my communication And organizational skills. Hello, my name is Porschea G. I am 22 years of age; I have 2 brothers and 3 sisters. I love shopping at Marshalls, and TJ Maxx. I also love sports like basketball, and Volleyball. I'm a loving, caring, sweet, and outgoing person. I have been helping, and taking care of others for as long as I can remember. I'm a very strong and hard worker, as much as my brothers and sisters love me, you would to.

I was a full time live-in caregiver 4 years tending my father who developed BPH and dementia. Responsible for all activities of daily living included cooking, cleaning and housekeeping. Duties included assistance is feeding, bathing, and all physical activities. Monitored his physical and mental well being and reported to various medical personnel. Responsible for medication administration, catheter care, brief changing and monitoring of UT infections. Transported to medical appointments, family gatherings and daily walks near the ocean. Constant positive reassurance to combat his depression and incorporated his past hobbies into our daily activities. After he passed away I returned to college to pursue a career as a caregiver. I completed all prerequisite courses necessary for various RN programs. Cumulative GPA of 3.92. I was accepted into Concordia University’s Accelerated Nursing program in January 2012 and completed one third of it before stepping out due to its overwhelming demand. Completed ROP long-term care nurses assistant program that included 100 hours of clinic at Terrance View Care Center in Fullerton, CA. Received Nurses Assistant certificate on 11/15/12. I have multiple references from families who have hired me to tend their parents. I believe a healthy diet, daily activity and being a positive force makes a difference. I also believe a person’s home is the best place to receive them.

Sorry I do not know how to upload a photo plus I am 50 and gray! My gramma has always been my hero so when it was time to care for her I did! Then about 10 years ago I married a man whose son had muscular dystrophy and needed full-time care. He went to Heaven on Christmas Eve 2017 and I was able to be there until his final breath! Now I am a single mom of a kindergartner and learning the flexibility of hybrid school. Jan 4 she goes full time and I would love to find someone to care for and a family to help! I know it is hard being a caregiver 24/7 so even if it is a once in while care that is great to give you rest!

My first thing is to observe listen to everything the person hiring you wants. Work hard to strive for what they want also when your there be ready to work focus. What attracted me to be a care giver taking care of people I enjoy, putting smiles on there faces being there for them. Always being the light of someone else's day that makes me feel good. Going that extra mile getting a certificate in my Emt.
