I became a caregiver because I have always loved listening to there life stories it started with my grandmother she lived to be 105 under my care I just love it.

I'm a natural at providing love and support for families and friends. Caregiving brings me so much joy and fulfillment knowing I am making a difference in the families lives. I enjoy spending time with my children and I also love to hike. My goals are to be the best I can be at the things I love doing, which is helping others.

I became a caregiver because i enjoy helping others.I like the satisfaction of knowing that i am making someone else's life more tolerable and comfortable.I am proud to say that i have saved a few peoples lives when they stopped breathing or was choking, and i acted quick enough to do that for them.I have been a CNA for 25+ years. I am Patient, very compassionate, detail oriented, and loving. My granny also known as my best friend had became very ill around 2013/2014 and my mother worked a full time job, she didn't have anyone to help her take care of my granny so I told my mother that I would provide for her. I took care of her day in and day out, I enjoyed bonding with her and getting to know and understand her interest. It allowed me to care for someone else aside from myself and build a remarkable bond. That experience encouraged my choice in major for college. I chose to go to school for nursing minoring in CNA and for Pre-Med to be a cardiothoracic surgeon. It is my passion to help others regardless of their circumstances.

During my career at Mcdonald's I hire 100s of people that needed a job, people that was struggling to provide for their families. I also trained and developed people to help them succeed in the company. I have trained people in my free time just to support them. I taught basic English to employees that only spoke Spanish to help them get the requirements to be able to qualify for promotions at work or just to help them get personal things done as appointments and attending meeting at their kids schools.

Hello ! When it comes to caregiving i think it is important when we as caregivers are patiences, understanding that there may be changes in plans, things may not go as quickly as planned, and there may be a little hesitation at times on the part of the person receiving care. Compassion, being compassionate towards another they have an understanding of what the person is going through. Dependability, those who need home care don't usually just need it sporadically. Rather it is on a regular basis, so it is imperative that a caregiver be dependable and show up to provide the care that the person needs and is counting on. I enjoy working with people and most enjoy jobs where you have one-on-one interaction with others. I enjoyed taking care of elder family members and would like to help others in this way, and feel like I can get along well with a variety of elders.
