I've always been told I had a heart of gold. I love to help people in need. It makes my day so much better knowing that I was able to help make someone else's day just a little better, even if not by much. I am proud of myself for getting back into school and being graduated by next December.

I have been a caregiver for the past 15 years and enjoy spending time with the elderly. I started caregiving by helping my friends mother who was in stage 3 Alzheimer's and found it to be a blessing to be a friend till the end. I conquer caregiving by treating the client as if it was my own parent.

Its something that I have always been interested in taking care of people can be fulfilling knowing that you are able to help some one in need or just to be there to listen to them and show that you genuinely care about the client and his/her feelings. I am proud of the person I have grown to be and was raised to be that is honest, hardworking, loving and sincere. Helping others is something that was instilled in me by my grandmother I did volunteer work for multiple community programs helped the elderly in and out of the neighborhood since I was 12 I would keep there homes clean, do laundry, and fix there meals. I have always been the type of person to help if I see someone in need of my help. Being a caregiver means a good deal to me I wanted to be in a position were I could possibly touch someone's life and I feel I went in the right direction with healthcare a lot of the client's I have dealt with I was all they had to depend on to help them. The elderly clients I have come across have no family members left alive to help them in their transition. When your in it because you love what you do and care about helping others not because you were told you could make a lot of money makes a difference in your treatment of others and work performance. I take pride in how well I treat others and in all that I do and strive to do better than the day before.

I became a medical assistant because I love to care for people who can't or need help with caring for themselves. I raised three successful children on my own and am extremely proud of all of them-one even serves our very country. I've wanted to be in healthcare since I was a child and my mother would always tell me I always asked the doctors so many questions about what he was doing and why. Now I continue my enjoyment of placing a smile on someone's face, just by doing something that's meaningful to them. I am currently unemployed and if I could take of people one-on-one, well that would be my blessing to them. My mother passed away from lung cancer and she showed me how inner strength and positivity makes all the difference in treating a horrible disease. I want to carry on her legacy. I have worked as a sub-contractor for the VA and have been thoroughly background checked by homeland security-so thankfully there will be no skeletons in my closet. I just feel that my calling is taking caring of people, even if it to the store, a doctor's appt or justing keeping them company.

Hello!!! My name is Mayra, I am 22 years old and currently in school to become an RN. I became a CNA when u was in high school, after I graduated I began working in a rehab facility that helped patients recovering from falls, strokes, surgeries to be able to help them return back to their highest level of functioning. While working I realized I wanted to be more to be able to help my patients so I decided to go to school and become a nurse. I have also worked as a live in CNA. I love what I do very much, I know for a fact that nursing is my calling. I hope you all consider me and I hope to make a difference in the care of you and or your loved one!

I became a CNA because I love to help people whether it may be a listening ear or physically helping patients with their everyday normal life activities. The rewards are when I can make a difference. I have been a certified nursing assistant for almost 2 years but was a nurse aid for 10 on and off. I'm a full time student at Keiser University finishing up my prerequisites and in September will be in the RN program which I will be done in May 2016. I'm easy to get along with and can adjust to any situation. I'm a very good listener. A lot of patients want to be heard as well as cared for. I live on the south side of Jacksonville.

I became a Caregiver because I enjoy helping other's and it's my passion. Being able to help people's that just need that extra help and still be independent we all need help sometimes but it's hard to put our pride to the side. I have achieve over 22 years in healthcare and have learn so much as to what it take's to be a great healthcare worker. I went back to school and received my Associated Degree in Medical Assistance. I am a great person with a big heart and a great personality , and I enjoy being in healthcare taking care of other's. I have 8 1/2 years on a Cardiac Step Down Unit, 1 1/2 on a Critical Care Unit, hospice experience in home care and facilities, nursing homes, assistant living, I am also a Certified CNA with CPR certification.

I have been a CNA for 17 years. My parents were both professionals in the healthcare industry and I took after them. I have always loved to serve others with my service and attention. I have 3 boys ranging from the age of 17 to 4 months old and enjoy them seeing me go out to serve others everyday as it aids with character and compassion in their own lives. Becoming a caregiver I am sure was destined for my life as it is a natural part of who I am. Loosing both my parents by the age of 21 was devastating. I begun my venture with Hospice by the age of 19, truly saved my life as I suffered briefly with depression from the unanticipated death of my parents. I served my hospice patients who knew they were dying and their families and in return they gave me a sense of good direction and advise as a parent or grandparent would and this in itself saved me from myself. Well my compassion is caring for people which began with me looking after my elderly parents until they pass away to my calling in the ministry where I serve as pastor. My name is Janay Parker I have been a caregiver for 8 years. I've always wanted to be a caregiver/ nurse since I was a child. What attracted me to be a caregiver is was when I was younger I used to love going to the doctor and seeing the nurses because they were very caring and very careful with how they did things and always made me feel comfortable and not scared while getting a shot or anything. So I as I got older I thought I can do the same thing except for the elderly instead. So one of my biggest achievements was when I finished school and got my AS degree in Medical Assistance.
