The primary thing that makes me choose to be a caregiver is that I love people. Because I care I dedicate myself to help and care for others. Giving care is something I do with patience and love. I had a chance to raised two children in my very young age and those kids weren't my mine. I'm very thanks full for that privilege. As of now I'm taking care of my mother after she had a big surgery. Well, I enjoy it.

I wanted to become a caregiver because I am compassionate person and care about people. I love to listen and have a kind heart. It is most rewarding being a caregiver because the people count on you and they are able to stay in the comfort of their own homes. My personal achievement is that I obtained my bachelors degree, A.A., A.S. while working full time and a mother. When everyone thought I was doing to much, I thought that I might not be doing enough. I had my mind on that prize and I achieved it. What makes me a great caregiver is the compassion and understanding, loyalty, and determination for my patients.

I have a natural compassion to care for others and have been seeking the perfect position to allow me to utilize this trait that I have been gifted with. I have been my fathers caregiver for many years now and find a large sense of reward doing so. I have found that this reward is what I need in my career and medical office environments have not allowed me to focus on patient care like I would prefer to give.

My experience while caring for seniors has been really great. I've always been the one who'd always accomplish the goal of putting a smile on my clients face because that's what I was trained to do and also what I love to do. I take my job very seriously because I love helping and caring for people and that's what I grew up doing, being the oldest of 5 kids. I know that I'm always making a difference in someone's life, and to me that's an accomplishment. I have experiences with clients of all kinds including clients with dementia, Alzheimer's, Parkinson, hospice patience, etc. I've also working in assisted living facilities and been doing private home care for 6 years. I also do bathing, light housekeeping, transportation, cooking, and appointments, etc. I'm very outgoing, honest, caring, trustworthy, and I'm very good at what I do. I moved here a year ago from Texas, to use my G.I. Bill. I was in the army and was stationed in Korea and Washington state. I have a wide range if hobbies, mostly dealing with the arts, I am a creative person. I would make a great care take because I'm empathetic, and compassionate.
