Hello, My name is Angelic Washington . I became a caregiver 10 years ago when my grandma was 84 years old and diagonoised with dementia . It was very hard for my grandpa to care for her alone. My mom and I took care of her until she passed away at 94 years old. During that time I also took care of another dementia patient for 5 years . Elizabeth was a part of my extended family .Her family treated me as their own . Her daughter was able to leave the home for 8 hours a day to work and know her mom was in the best care . I stayed with her until she passed away .

I became a caregiver about 6 years ago. As a child I took care of my grandmother when she was sick and had surgery and I really enjoyed it. When I got in my teen years my mother had to have a major operation and ended up with a nasty infection, so I got to clean and change bandages and give her medications via IV and this has been my passion ever since. I love working with people to help them with daily needs that they can no longer do on their on. I also enjoy spending time and getting to know the people I work with. I am proud to say I have been to school and gotten my CNA I certificate and am currently enrolled in school to get my Associates degree of Applied Science in Medical Assisting. I am working to get my RN and hopefully will not stop until I have my Mastered degree. I am a single mother of 5 wonderful and smart little boys and have worked hard to be a wonderful mom, wonderful caregiver, and hard working student.
