I worked in a hospital for over 20 years and enjoyed it immensely. I then retired and missed the connection with patients so I decided to join caregiving. I thoroughly enjoy caregiving and enjoy everyone of my clients.

A great caregiver pocessess patience, love, and dedication. These are all the qualities I believe I process. I have always had a passion for helping others and enjoy every bit of it. I am most proud of my great work history. I am very dependable and have only not been able to work a scheduled date twice in 5 years.

It's not so much of a "what" makes me a great caregiver it's the "who". I was the sole care take for both my grandfather and father for 2+ years before going to school for my CNA. I know what it means to treat patients like family because I know what it's like to have the one I love sitting on the other end. I pride myself in being very patient, understanding and empathetic. I've always loved helping others, maybe it's because most of my family is in the medical field. My mom being a nurse for the VA hospital and my sister a Pediatrics nurse in Washington D.C, caring for others has always been instilled in me since I was young. I hope to follow in there footsteps in the nursing department because there's really nothing I enjoy more then helping others get the most out of their lives. I really hope to bring the joy I know I can into the lives of your loved ones. Thank you.

I am kind , patient, active, freindly, funny, responsible, caring, loving. I love helping and taking care of people around me. It's passionate for me to make others feel good because it does make you feel in return. I am proud that I have come all the way to Africa and have so much to give with my experiences, talents, care and knowledge. I look forward to being a great caregiver.

What makes me a great caregiver is the fact that I care about my patients and the elderly in general outside of work. I like helping people, 9/10 I put others wants and needs before my own, I go above and beyond what's asked of me, etc. I became a caregiver due to my grandmother needing the help and support around the house once she started dialysis a few years ago; I went to get trained to be a home maker aide. I enjoy making others lives easier and fending for those that can't help them selves all the time or just need that extra push. A personal achievement that I am proud of is graduating high school early to focus on my mental health and self care before going away to school and in the mean time stopping to take get custody of my godson while his mom trains for airforce while I am still attending work and school full time.

I have been a caregiver for over 20 years. I truly love what I do because i get so much back. I have been in Home health care, adult day care and hospice. this is a job that many people can not do, so they ask for help. Its hard to fine people that are responsible, understanding, loving and not afraid of a new challenge! this is what I do and love doing it!

When I was 19, my Mom was diagnosed with Cancer. Spending much of my time inside hospitals, skilled nursing homes, and at home with Mom, I had an opportunity to see first hand the difference between a truly good Caregiver/CNA and the ones who...weren't so good. I decided that I would get my Certificate so that I could be one of those good ones who truly touched people's lives. I fell in love with the profession, and have been doing this work for almost twenty years since. I truly love having the opportunity to provide the best Care Giving experience possible to all those I care for. One personal achieve I'm most proud of is the time I cleared the airway using the Heimlich Maneuver on a choking patient at a hospital I was working at. Although this particular patient was not assigned to me that day, the CNA caring for her was fresh out of school and panicked when the patient began choking on her breakfast. I was passing the room when I heard the CNA call for help. I recognized immediately that the patient was choking, pulled her into position and did the Heimlich until the food was dislodged. By the time the nurses responded, I had her airway clear and received a round of applause!

I am a great caregiver because that is what GOD put me on this earth to do. I love to give of myself in helping the human person and make their life better in a way that is pleasing to them. Life is about giving to make the world a better place to live and it is very satisfying to me to see someone feel better and put a smile on their face or brighten their day in some way.

I've wanted to be a C.N.A. since I was a little girl. I am a very empithetic person. I have a passion for taking care of people. I enjoy listening to patients and preforming A.D.L's. I am proud of raising my daughter. I smile a lot! I am sincere.

What attracted me to be a caregiver was just being able to work and help others when they needed a helping hand. A Legal guardian of a handicapped person, it has been very rewarding to me.. Her guardian for many years now. Am a published poet and songwriter. Like to play cards especially Canasta Like to sing the oldies but goodies. Have 3 grown sons, one works for Omni Electronics, second son is an Hwy. Engineer, 3rd son is studying for his Masters Degree and plans on being a Dr. I have 5 beautiful Grand children. Right now I have a broken foot and in a boot but til I heal I can be an excellent companion. A good time for a client to get to know her C.N.A. Most important I am a Christian. Hello, my name is Ala and I’m a CNA with more than three years of experience. I chose a CNA job because I took care of my grandmother when I was a teenager. Since then, I dreamt about working with geriatric people and helping those who are in need. CNA is a job where mercy, compassion, and wisdom of life play a huge role. This profession carries with it not only assistance to specific individuals, but also sets an example for the humane attitude of man to man. Other than the impossibility to perform activities of daily living, the main psychological problem of the elderly person is loneliness. The CNA worker is expected to help people accept their own old age, find themselves at this stage of life, and prolong their vitality. One more thing that attracts me in my profession is opportunity to speak to my clients. As you know, older people have seen a lot in their lives so they can give one a wise piece of advice and it is interesting to listen about their lives.
