Hey, my name is Kerry Hewett and I reside in Longview Texas. I recently graduated with Bryant and Stratton College with my Bachelors Degree in Human and Social Services. I eaned my CNA in Oklahoma and roughly was certified for 3 years. I do have 8 years experience with facilities, nursing homes, and home health. I am a single parent with a daughter who is 17 and she is on the spectrum. I have a passion for helping and caring for other people. I enjoy making memories with my family. I enjoy thr outdoors, cooking and grilling, listening to music and dancing. I am also a lover for animals.

I started taking care of others at a young age it started out with my sister she was bedridden. I took care of her for several years. After she passed away at the age of 27 I already had enough experience under my belt that I thought I can use the experience in nursing homes home healthcare assisted livings etc. I have a passion to help others and getting to know the person on a personal level to understand your level of care and needs.

What attracted to you being a caregiver? We all need someone starting from when you're parents hold you and as we age we still want to be needed and care for so to me what attracted me to caregiving is hope I hope someday someone will take the time I took and cared for someone and pay it forward to me. What do you enjoy most about being a caregiver? Meeting new friends and learning so much from them. What is a personal achievement you are proud of? The ability to accomplish my goals that I set, for myself. For for an example, my associates degree and bachelors in Human Resources administration and business.

I am 31 years old and have been a CNA since 2010. I also starting doing home care on top of nursing home care and absolutely love it.
