I am a 53 old grandmother to two beautiful 2 yr old girls. I am mother to a 10 yr old at home and her 5 grown siblings. I am married to my wonderful husband Ken. I love working with people. I love helping people and knowing that I am making someone elses life easier. I am a people person, I have lots of patience. I started working as a CNA when I was 20, I loved my job. I enjoy most about being a caregiver is that I'm needed and I make someone happy. I am proud of my children and how far they have come in life. I am proud that I am who I am despite things life has thrown me.

What drew me to become a caregiver was at a young age . Caring for my grandparent at the age of 20 . Patients , time to some one who is disabled in any way can't move as we do ,so taking things at their pace . Caring and understanding is another key to making the patients feel loved and not a person of burden do to their decline in life . My joy in my choice of job is the satisfaction of relief to a client/patient they no longer feel they are a burden or stressed on how they can stay in their home a sign of relief is everything to me and that makes me feel I am doing my job .

Helping others has always been a goal of mine, even as a little girl I knew I would be in the medical field in some capacity. My heart is into caring for others. I take care of my mother and understand a family's challenge in care giving matters. I have experience for in-patient and out-patient patients. I am very observant. I understand signs and symptoms of most illnesses. I am unique in that I understand and have knowledge of tradition medicine, but also holistic wellness. I am a great caregiver because I am compassionate , kind and love what I do. I have been a caregiver for the last 20 years. My mother motivated me to get in this field ,as she had been diagnosed with lung cancer at the age of 65. Unfortunately she passed away at 67 , which will be 20 years this October. Hi.I has been working as a housekeeper for a long time, so keeping the house tidy for the senior needs will be a plus. In my past senior care giver jobs I drived a lot: appointments, errands, or just to visit a friend or family. I can travel with the client or just help with traveling arrengement. I love to cook and can almost cook anything. Im a very good listener and love a good story about old times. I can manage time efficiently and I'm a very good organizer. I will communicate with the family if there's any concerns occurring in the client daily life. Love to accompany in wals, excersicing, watching movies, or any other entertainment that isn't extreme (like skydiving). I have experience with home hospice care as I took care of my mother and father in law who both had cancer and were home during hospice.
