My background has been primarily oil field most of my life. The last several years I have been an independent contractor which has allowed me to be home more with my wife of 30 years who has developed dementia. While serving as a caregiver for her I have developed a great sense of empathy. This experience has taught me so much about myself and humbled me immensely. I have been told that I am a fantastic caregiver and if I can help someone else through the skills of patience, understanding and empathy it would bring me much satisfaction.

I am a fun and outgoing person, who like to enjoy life by giving love and compassion to those who have suffered and is in need. I enjoy my work because I am able to inspire and give inspiration to all my clients. I am devoted to my work and the people I work with. At the end of the day I feel a since of accomplishment and honor to be able to use my skills to help others. My personal achievement is being a caregiver.

I am very patient and considerate. When comes to caregiving I like to have a sense of humor and keep my spirit joyous so that I can serve with my best. I started caregiving for my mother in 2009 and have been doing it ever since. The thing I enjoy most about caregiving is seeing the satisfaction of my loved ones; knowing that their needs have been met. Hi, I'm a retired MFT. I ran TLC, an Adult Day Health Center for 9 years. I was a Unit Secretary at SNMH way back in 1981! I've also run Social Services for a Convalescent Hospital. I'm registering here to help care for a family friend.

Hi! My name is Angeleck Richardson. I'm known to be kind, patient, and talkative. I became interested in being a caregiver after working a few retail jobs and realizing that I felt very unfilled in a line of work that didn't provide me with the opportunity to connect with others. While working those jobs, my sister who is disabled often called me on my lunch break and chatted with me, telling me all about her day and what happened with her and her friends. I've grown up taking care of my sister, driving her to her activities, going to the park together, watching old school 90's RnB videos (her favorite, she knows every word), and just being her friend. After my dad, I was her secondary caregiver and everything I did with her I enjoyed. Of course there were very difficult days, but it was patience, understanding and space for both of us to be comfortable that allowed situations to work out. That is something I'm proud of.

Cared for my parents until their passing. Worked with the MHMR community and found that very rewarding, Enjoy being with people whether they need help with chores or just need a friend to talk to. I also can assist with food prep. Have an understanding of regular diet or a chopped diet etc. Can follow both written and oral instructions. My main priority is the care and comfort of the client i am serving and to help maintain their independence as long as possible.
