I am very compassionate and empathetic. It gives me joy to be of assistance to someone in need. I have been in healthcare since 1996 as a medical assistant certified phlebotomist med technician and home health care. It has become a part of my daily life to put a smile on someone else's face.

1. Why did you become a Caregiver? I love providing home care-giving services to those that would otherwise not be able to do so. The smile on their faces is overwhelming and makes me feel I have done my job right. I have always enjoyed helping people so I know I am doing the right thing. 2. What do you like about being a Caregiver? Meeting new people and providing care giving services that they can no longer do for themselves. 3. What is a personal achievement you are proud of? Seeing my patient day in and day out with a smile on there faces! 4. Tell us something about yourself? I am a very self confident young lady that loves what she does, and wouldn't trade it for nothing in the world. Hello ,my name is Monquisha but I go by Quisha I've been a CNA for 10 years now I have worked in home health, hospice and on a memory care unit. What got me into the health filed was I use to work in a facility in dining I had became so close to a lot of the patients that I was serving and it made me want to do more with the elderly. That's when I decided to go back to school for my CNA'S and I love the decision that I have made . I love caring for others and I'm very passionate about what I do in some cases a caregiver is all a patient has some have they families close and some depends totally on caregiver . I became a caregiver in September of 1985 right after I got laid off from a previous job during that summer and took a Training Course at Aides at Home Inc. It was an amazing opportunity for me where I had a chance to learn about caring for the elderly. I found lots of enjoyment working as a caregiver especially the interesting stories told to me by many of my clients over all these years and being able to take care of them in the manner that they liked!! The personal achievement I am most proud of was and still is, to hear good reports and the satisfaction my cients gave me over the years and made me feel very welcomed in their homes. Traveling and especially being around friends and family is most important to me including just keeping myself happy and to be more healthy, being outdoors and my favorite of all is going to the movies!! Right now I don't have a car but do have a valid Driver's License in case a client needs to go to doctor appts, do errands or grocery shopping. I can drive their vehicles if need be.

I'm a fun, loving, compassionate, and out going person. What attracted me to wanting to become a caregiver most was being able to help others. I want to always do something that is beneficial to and for others. The thing I enjoy most about being a caregiver is being able to help others. The appreciation you get from doing this is more rewarding than anything. One of my greatest achievements to date was being able to purchase my grandparents a tombstone. I felt they deserved to be remembered with honor and if I couldn't do anything else to make them proud I knew that would be it!

When I was growing up, I saw my grandmother suffering from illness that kept her bedridden so she was unable to get up to do the activities of daily living such as using the bathroom, making food, and dressing herself. My Mother and I visited her daily to help her with all of these needs. Therefore, I decided I would devote my life's work to helping the elderly and those that cannot help themselves.
