I enjoy providing caring services for others. I enjoy spending time with people, providing activities and companionship, including listening to their stories/experiences/history. Becoming a caregiver was started with the need for my father to receive 24/7 care and I became his guardian, proving his health, nutritional, hygiene, daily activities, and financial needs until he passed 4 years later from CAD and end stage Alzheimer's/Dementia. From that, I began caring for a 99 year old female with Alzheimer's, again providing all of her personal needs, except financial, until she passed at 103 yrs of age. I have provided personal duty care since 2011 and have found a calling for me in this field,

Being able to empathize allows me to put myself in patient shoes, and identify and ease the patients fears and discomfort. Having passion for what I do allows me to be the best caregiver that I can possibly be. I love my job. I genuinely care for my patients and people who are in need. I'm constantly looking for ways to improve my job performance ultimately, to make the lives of each patient the best it can possibly be. Having traits such as honesty and trustworthiness are are indispensable qualities everyone should have. Especially when in the homes of others. There will be many hurdles along the way when caring for different patients. Having patience's and being flexible will allow me plenty of opportunities in the field of nursing.

I'm 30 years old. I'm a mother of two. I have an 8 year old son and a 2 year old daughter. I'm from West Chester Ohio, where I currently live. I've been a caregiver for almost 12 years now. I come from a family of nurses and caregivers which is how I became one. I do want to further my education some day and go back to school to be a dental hygienist. Took a break to focus on school , I recently went back to school to obtain my 75 hour home health aide certificate , I have several CEU'S including HIV/AIDS, DOMESTIC ABUSE, FALL PREVENTION , CPR, and Alzheimer's . I have a wide range of experience from children with disabilities to hospice care . I use to go to work for a check , then I broke my ankle and couldn't walk for tow months , I depended on someone to do everything for me and it left me feeling like I was a burden .
