I have enjoyed being a licensed Nurse for the past 20 years. and would like to continue helping and giving an extension of myself to an individual that is willing to except great care with love and support to offer them.

It is a profession that i was drawn into when my grandmother became diagnosed with Alzheimer's. I cared for her in the last two years of her life and assisted her with such things as bath,grooming, and incontinence care . I also assisted her with mobility tranfers, and provided transportation to and from doctor's appointments.

Hello, I have been a caregiver for 15 years. What made me decide to help and take care of people, when I seen my grandmother at 15 years old dying from colon cancer in a nursing home. Why I feel I am a good caregiver is because I treat people the way I would want to be treated, with respect, honesty, and reliability. I cared for my mom 4 1/2 years ago on hospice care in my own home, she died in 2012 from endometriosis cancer. I know I did the best I could, and I am glad I was there for her like she was for me.

After many years of working in the insurance industry, I decided to make a career change and become a caregiver. This is something that comes naturally to me and is a great fit. I have 4 children who are 8, 6, and twins who are 8 weeks. I enjoy taking care if others and making someone's life happier and easier on them. I get great fulfillment from helping others. I am a very trustworthy person who is dependable at all times. Love, compassion, patience, and respect are traits that you will find in me. I Am currently available to work Monday-Friday 5pm to 9pm (later if needed as well)

What makes me a great caregiver is that I strongly care for others and their well being. I'm reliable, I'm very understanding. I try my best to fulfill every given task that is brought upon me. I'm a great motivation person. I enjoy being their as a friend that's one main reason I became a caregiver. I like the fact that I'm able to be there for other's to give them a hand and to even just being able be have a one-on one impact is a great feeling. A personal achievement that I'm proud of is that I'm in school for nursing.

I am a very calm person and have been told by many of my clients and their families. I have a warm personality and find great fulfillment with working with the elderly. I actually lived with my grand aunt for many years and so was from a relatively earlier age was taking care of her. I am proud of the fact that when I leave my clients when my case is up, many of the families stay in touch because of the bond that was formed between their parent and myself. I also have families who keep in touch with me for over 8 years!! I just plain and simple love people.

First and foremost I am a God-fearing woman. I have patience, I am dependable and trustworthy. I have empathy and compassion for others. I realized while taking care of my mother through her batter with cancer, whilst solely raising a young child that helping people is what I do best. I am very friendly, truthful, honest, and caring . I like to help the individual stay active so they do not lose the ability to do for themselves. I have worked in the medical field for many years. I have handled many different scenarios and situations so nothing surprises me to much. No one is perfect However, I strive to be the best person I can be everyday. A personal achievement of mine was when I worked with an individual who was non verbal and he had a lot of behaviors and he could be very mean. I spoke to him and treated him like he was the same as everyone else. I cooked a special dinner for him and made it all homemade from scratch and he watched me make the whole meal. When I served him he looked at me took a bite then reached over and grabbed my arm gently and kissed my arm and he smiled so big. It took about a month to get that acceptance from him. When he finally accepted me it made me tear up. I felt so accomplished because this guy ran off so many Direct support Professionals. I felt as though I could do anything because of the wonderful feeling of gratitude and gratefulness that I received from that individual.
