Hi my name is Tammy and I have lived in this area for 46 years. I am a people person and currently care for people from kindergarten to 90 years old. I love people. I started caregiving between my 8th and 9th grade year of school when my mom got very sick. The caregiving I took on at that age was wound care, personal care, companionship, housekeeping, and cooking so I have been at this for a moment. I have been a 24/7 caregiver or family members and work 24-hour shifts with clients because it's not about me and my needs it's about my clients and their needs in order to get them to a better place in life. I would say now looking back I am proud that my mom is my first client.

I have 20 years in being a professional caregiver, hands - on experience in caregiving arena, Proficient in caring for geriatric patients to improve overall health and wellbeing. I am a great caregiver. I'm loyal a good listener I love taking care of people. I was attracted to this as a young lady. I started as a young person in a nursing home, talking to people and caring for them. My personal achievement is my schooling and raising a well balanced daughter on my own. I have worked in a hospital for eighteen years and know how to take care of all kinds of patients young and old. I love helping people. Hello, I'm a CNA at a hospital in Concord. I am fond of my job for many reasons like, assisting patients who positively progress in their health and goes home. I'd say my strongest quality as a CNA is that I try my best at keeping the client or patients dignity, privacy and overall care to their preference. I would like to introduce myself as a candidate for the Caregiver position at Josephine Gardner' Home. As a highly empathetic and caring individual with extensive experience in the caregiving field, I am confident that I can succeed as a Caregiver for Jojo, I also provided home health care for a rotation of 10 patients per week At Aloha care ( Hawaii ) five days a week. My responsibilities included light housework, giving baths, preparing small snacks, reading to patients, helping them around the house, helping patients use the restroom, providing companionship, keeping track of appointments, and feeding patients. I am very passionate about the well-being of my patients. During my young years, I served as a primary caregiver for my grandmother. As a frail woman in her late 80s , she needed a lot of assistance with most day-to-day functions. The more time I spent with her, the more I realized that although her body may not function, her mind was an ocean of stories and wisdom, waiting to be explored. I had a very close relationship with my grandmother who I lived with for the first 12 years of my life. I enjoyed spending time with her and other elderly members of my family. I thought being a caregiver would be something I would enjoy doing because I am a very patient person who understands and appreciate spending time with and caring for the elderly. I especially enjoy listening to the stories and advise of the elderly. It was very satisfying for me to be able to use the skills I acquired to care for my mother who had Alzheimer's disease.

What makes me a great caregiver is that I am passionate, considerate, sympathetic and go above and beyond for my patients. Helping those that aren't able to do for themselves has always been a passion of mine. I do this because I love what I do and they become part of my extended family. Even after my services are over we still stay in contact. Continuing my education in my later years is going to be a big accomplishment for me. Care giving job needs someone who is able to endure and overcome obstacles that come their way without giving up, or not taking the opportunity to abuse the patients and shouting at the them. I took care of my grandmother and some of my nephews and if I did not have patience, I couldn't have been able to do it.

She was my world and when she was diagnosed with liver cancer, I found my perfect world falling apart. I took care of my grandmother up until the end, and I found it very rewarding. What I like about being a caregiver is being able to give back and be of service to those who need assistance. I love being a caregiver because I meet all kinds of people from all walks of life. I am able to be in their presence and hear the wisdom that is shared. I am proud of finally achieving my bachelor degree after raising two children as a single parent. Hello, Hola! My name is Leticia Martinez-Morales, I am currently 28 years old and I am currently working at a Senior Care Facility. I have 10 years experience working with seniors and worked in multiple places, from private care to well known large hospitals in Southern California. I have worked as a CNA ( certified nurse assistant) in Med-surg, Peds, ICU, Labor and Delivery, ER, Oncology and Telemetry. For the last year I have shadowed MD, DO, PA, NP as well as Nursing Home administrators. My first client gave me the motivation and it opened my eyes to how much I can help people as a Caregiver. I love being able to help them, so that they can have a better day and not have to struggle so much when it comes to their activities of daily living.
