Growing up, I was best friends with someone who has Autism. I was the only person she wanted to see when she was having a bad day. Her love for me sparked my interest in the Caregiving field. I am still in contact with her and her family to this day. I have worked in a day program for adults with IDD for a little over 2 years. This past year I worked in a residential facility for adults with IDD. Both opportunities were extremely rewarding and allowed me to gain more experience in this field. I am still new to the home caregiving world but I am eager to become more experienced! I am a very dedicated and caring individual. I can't wait to start lending a helping hand!

I have extensive experience working with elderly adults. In the 14 years I've worked as a care provider, the one gift that I receive the most is the constant gratitude of my service. Recognizing that each resident is an individual with unique needs and potentials is key to creating a good rapport. Learning about the resident helps me discover what motivates them.
