Hi! My name is Ciarra (see-ar-uh). I absolutely love being a caregiver as I've been doing it for almost 2 years! I'm a very patient, sociable, energetic person. I love being able to help others and put a smile on their face. I've recently graduated CNA school also to have more knowledge and be able to assist my patients more.

I am currently in school working on two degrees. One degree is LVN, and the other is Gerontology. I hope to eventually work as a hospice LVN. I have about 5 years caregiving experience, and also hold a medical assistant diploma and nursing assistant training.

I'm a caregiver because I enjoy spending time and taking care of seniors therefore allowing them to remain in there own homes. what makes me a good caregiver is that I'm very compassionate and love helping people. Its very rewarding and its something I could do for the rest of my life. I'm doing something that I don't mind getting out of bed for.

I started when I took care of one of the nun in the Philippines. I learned from her by taking care of her. I assisted her to do showering, transferring her to a wheel chair, cleaning her room all of the things that she could not do for herself. I took good care of her about a year. I live in the dormitory or convent while attending high school. My passion is helping people especially with the elderly. When I was seven years old, I want to be a nurse. My parents could not afford to send me to college. After I graduated high school, I worked at a shoe factory. My dreams stopped. Now that I live here in the United States Of American, the land of opportunity, I am able to get my Pre Certification as a Nurse Assistant at American Red Cross. Being a caregiver, I like to help the residents by taking care of them. giving them the best care that they want to be. The personal achievement that I proud of is when I finished my school and be able to help the people especially the elderly. I am a hard working. I'm flexible. I don't have any kids. I am open.

I became a caregiver to help those in need of thing they can not do for themselves the most important things we need to know for everyday living and my love for helping others, I like knowing that the person I'm caring for is safe and comfortable and is in the top care appropriate for them and their loved ones, also being around a Client with so much wisdom is amazing my heart beats for loving and caring for someone and I'm not happy until my client has everything he/she needs to their satisfaction. A personal achievement that I am very proud of is the ability to love others with no sort of relation to me (meaning other than family) in such a manner to where if it's not done right I will not stop until it is. I'm a mother who can be more caring than us I love the out doors, gardening, sports church and a nail salon trip every now and again I've been in care give for 4 years for patients of all kind from senile diabetic care young adults with mental illnesses such as autism down syndrome mental retardation diabetic care insulin shots no task is too difficult for meI try to be the best that I can at everything I do.

What I most proud of is getting a certification of completion from the Occupational Therapist Assistant program and the first in my family to graduate from college with an A.S. degree.

My name is Sam, and I've been a caregiver for agencies for 3 and a half years and am now looking to work on my own. I am studying my prerequisites for Nursing part time and working full time, I intend to do Hospice Nursing and perhaps open my own company.

I have always helped people my hole life, my mother was a nurse and my father was a police officer, i took care of my father before he passed away from prostate cancer and my mother was diagnosed with dementia. I have always been the loving and compationate person that will do anything and everything to help someone when they need help. I have worked in a nursing home for over 20 patients knowing there names with there medications where i would help them get dressed eat shower and change them and keep them happy while giving exelent care and medical managment. I am also CPR certified with the sate of california. I am currently going to college to be a EMT and I am dedicated to the medical field and helping people is what i do best.

Hey all! My name is Maylania, most just call me Laney, I'm a wife and mother with a compassionate and nurturing soul. I first started caregiving when I was just 20 years old and my grandmother needed the help. I felt immediately it was my duty to step up and aide her in becoming stronger and healthier. The most enjoyable part of caregiving is providing companionship and building trustworthy partnerships within the elderly community and their families, seeing a happy and healthy smile on your patients face despite their circumstances is so rewarding. My father suffered from seizures most of my life so I learned early how to take care of someone who needs help remembering things or getting up etc.. I have always just had a nack for taking care of things/others. I like being caregiver because you meet different people you see different aspects of life.

I'm a great caregiver as I like to spend lots of one on one time with my client to enhance their quality of life. I'm interested in being a caregiver because I'm a homebody, and I love to spend time doing household errands. I also enjoy taking care of my client and meeting their needs successfully. I enjoy the personal connection, and to know that they're living and being able to do as much as they can comfortably to do. I'm a fast learner and want to make sure everything is done correctly.

Being from Sacramento and living all of my 19 years here, has shaped me in ways imagined. I am very self driven and more self taught than taught but always learning from others. I attend Sacramento City College hoping to get an A.A in fashion. I have worked since I was 15, mostly in foods services and retail. I lived with my grandma for a few years and she has both Dementia and COPD effects as well as another disability caused by the disconnection of spinal cord that connects to the spine and brain causing constant dizziness and help with walking. Helping my grandma out for the few years I was granted, inspired me to want to help in a more professional and broader environment. I love people. I love helping people and simply seeing others even at the slightest bit appreciate one another's existence. I enjoy creating bonds with individuals in which I've learned from my grandma, taking care of one can build a strong bond b/w two individuals. I'm consistently working on bettering myself and growing financially, mentally, and physically in adult hood as I make my way up in age.

Hello, I have been doing this since I can remember at a very young age. It first started with learning from my mother and aiding in my grandmother's care to going with my mother to her client's homes as a caregiver and getting hands-on experience. I soon then applied to a nursing senior home and gained more experience as well as with agencies. I've done pretty much every bit in caregiving that you can think of. I love to meet people, to bond with them, and make a difference in their lives with small amounts of happiness at a time to make their day or to make them feel whole. Some don't always get the care and love that they need to receive and I love to step in to fill those gaps in for clients. I have always gone above and beyond not just because, but because I passionately love being a caregiver. There's a huge reward in caring for a person in what their needs are.

I am a very dependable, outgoing, friendly person. I work hard and try to do my best at it. Often people tell me I wear my heart on my sleeve, because I want to help everybody. I am a college student and I work hard at it, I have made the Dean's list the last two semester.
