I became a caregiver to help a friends relative who needed in-home assistance. I then discovered my passion for helping people live as independent as possible and making sure not just there physical, but their emotional needs are met by saying positive and through being an active listener. I most enjoy spending one on one time with my clients and listening to theme recall memories about their life. I have learned a lot of patience through being a caregiver. I was Angel of the month for the month of March, 2020.

My grandmother and mother were home health aides and nurses so i like to think its in me to have a domestic outlook on life. I help people that cant do as much for themselves, that makes me feel good. I like that you can make someones day by providing them with positive work for them, and at the end of the day they're grateful, that's amazing. My personal achievement I'm proud of is when my fiance and i moved to New York and attend classes to complete my Certification as an Home Health Aide, I'm happy. Moving to New York was a big step for me. I will be moving back to California and looking forward to having a great year and a great carrier as a CHHA. I'M Currently going to Sacramento City College for my LVN and RN license. I'm also CPR and FIRST AIDE CERTIFIED.

My parents had me late in life I became their primary care giver caring for them and maintaing the house after they had passed on i began cleaning houses with Marta Santos one of our clients Mrs Mary Miller needed extra assistance later i moved in to care for her when her health declined as her children lived out of state later i cared for Marina Herrea who had Alzheimer's.

I'm a 21yrs old college student although i took a break to work. I've been doing caregiving since i was 16yrs old. I'm very compassionate and understanding. I work together with my clients and their family make sure my clients is as comfortable. I love being a caregiver because i learn a lot from it. I want to be an RN so being a caregiver help me learn a lot of skills. I enjoy being a caregiver because i get to meet and interact with new people and i feel good knowing my job is to help someone's loved one feel better or do better. I'm interested in care taking and want to serve and help those in need as a part time job. What makes me a great caregiver is that I'm very passionate about my job I love what I do and who I meet, I been a caregiver for 9months now and I plan on for many more years. What attracted me to being a caregiver is my nana, she always needed help getting places and doing things, and I loved helping her so I started thinking about becoming a caregiver and helping more people. I can identify with people who are elderly. You see, I lost my mother in 2009 from Alzheimer's and dementia at the age of 71 years old. During that time, my sister and I tried to take care of her. After four months, my sister and I just couldn’t take care of her full-time. She needed more care than we could provide, so we had to arrange for nursing home care. I felt so bad for needing to do so, since I preferred to provide for her care myself. I would visit her often, and I noticed CNAs and nurses helping my mother. I respected those who took care of her. I thought this must be a difficult but rewarding job. This gives me a personal perspective. I have compassion for elderly people who reside at skilled nursing facilities. I earnestly desire to be a CNA as you’ll see on my enclosed resume. I’ve completed a CNA course at SacMed Training and my clinical hours were obtained from Emerald Gardens. I have the educational background and want to further my caregiver experience. In addition, I am motivated and enthusiastic, and I have a good sense of humor. My compassion and my big heart make me a great caregiver. At my current facility I love all of my residents and go above and beyond to try to make them feel comfortable and loved. One of the things i enjoy most about being a caregiver has to be the rewarding feeling I get for doing something good, even if it is out of the kindness of my heart.

I am currently a stay at home mother to a beautiful 2.5yo little boy and I believe that lends patience to the assistance of others, along with my years of experience caring for my own mother following her debilitating stroke almost 15 years ago. I am patient, kind, compassionate, and empathetic to others, regardless of their mental or physical condition. Along with being a stay at home mom, I also provide part time care in the evenings for a wonderful woman with Spinal Muscular Atrophy, and regardless of the task that I am asked to complete, I enjoy the time spent assisting and talking to her about her life and experiences. I feel that everyone deserves dignity, compassion, and companionship and my personality and caring nature allows me to demonstrate that with anyone that I'm blessed enough to assist. My favorite part of caregiving is the relationship and bond that is formed when the pairing is right. I love to give what I have to others in any form that they need it, whether it be through a healthy and delicious meal that I've prepared for them, or through a simple conversation.
