I am a compassionate, caring person by nature. I cared for my mother and brother until their deaths. They both lived with me and I cared for them, cleaned, cooked, took them to their appointments and outings, and just spent quality time with them until they passed. I feel that elderly people get overlooked or ignored a lot, and often don't get the respect and compassion they deserve. I now want to help other elderly people, in their golden years, to live the happiest, comfortable, and rewarding life as possible. I truly enjoy seeing their happy faces that I can bring them, and knowing they are living their lives, with assistance, to the happiest and fullest of their abilities. I am happy, content, and proud that I could help my mother and brother live their lives to the fullest until they passed. I now have that desire to help other elderly people achieve the happiest and rewarding life as possible. I will get CPR certified and any other required or requested certificates or required skills necessary for a position in this field. I love all animals and will help care for and love them as well. I cannot send a photo because my computer doesn't do that, but I am a caucasian female. I am fit and again have the care and compassion for helping the elderly. I am 55 years old. My parents had me late in life I became their primary care giver caring for them and maintaing the house after they had passed on i began cleaning houses with Marta Santos one of our clients Mrs Mary Miller needed extra assistance later i moved in to care for her when her health declined as her children lived out of state later i cared for Marina Herrea who had Alzheimer's.

I have been taking care of people since I was about 9 . I went to medical school as a medical assistant, worked with children but found that I really love working with the elderly been working. Since 1997 have two degrees in the medical field and own my own business. I am compassionate congruent trustworthy on time faithful and dedicated to the care that I provide for people.

I'm a licensed Certified Nursing Assistant and a phlebotomist. I enjoy working with people, helping them heal and simply enjoying the little things in life. I enjoy what I do and I take every chance I'm offered so that I may keep improving.

I became a CNA because I wanted to be able to help people that cannot always care for themselves and it makes me feel good to be able to give them the best care that I can. I like being a CNA because I get to know the client and his or her specific needs and I enjoy communicating and learning about them. A personal achievement that I am proud of is finishing high school and getting my diploma. Walking across that stage in front of my family was one of the most blissful moments of my life. I have always been a nurturing individual, seeing to the needs of those who needed it. However, it was in 2014 when my mother was diagnosed with cancer, that I understood the need for a genuine, passionate caregivers. It was then that I realized my calling. That is when I became a certified caregiver.

I do my best to tend to the needs of my clients. I offer great companionship and a great ear to listen to. What the client wants matters. I am not here to control their life but to assist with daily tasks to make them feel whole and in control again. I am very understanding, open minded and family oriented. I aim to make my client feel as safe and comfortable as I can. I became a caregiver when my father became disabled. What better way to give back the love and support he has given me by helping him and my family. As I became older I decided to become an IHSS employee. I love what I do because I made a change in someone else's life. I am here to help to my best abilities.

I became a caregiver to help a friends relative who needed in-home assistance. I then discovered my passion for helping people live as independent as possible and making sure not just there physical, but their emotional needs are met by saying positive and through being an active listener. I most enjoy spending one on one time with my clients and listening to theme recall memories about their life. I have learned a lot of patience through being a caregiver. My grandmother and mother were home health aides and nurses so i like to think its in me to have a domestic outlook on life. I help people that cant do as much for themselves, that makes me feel good. I like that you can make someones day by providing them with positive work for them, and at the end of the day they're grateful, that's amazing. My personal achievement I'm proud of is when my fiance and i moved to New York and attend classes to complete my Certification as an Home Health Aide, I'm happy. I became a caregiver because I love caring for people. I love elderly and people in need. The thing I like about being a caregiver is having a person love you for caring. I'm a 21yrs old college student although i took a break to work. I've been doing caregiving since i was 16yrs old. I'm very compassionate and understanding. I work together with my clients and their family make sure my clients is as comfortable. I love being a caregiver because i learn a lot from it. I want to be an RN so being a caregiver help me learn a lot of skills. I'm interested in care taking and want to serve and help those in need as a part time job. A memorable moment for me was with my clients successful recovery after beginning hit by a drunk driver to have my 24 hr. care made my client able to walk again after this horrific car accident where he suffered severe injuries and was immobilized. My consistency with his physical therapy played a major part in his recovery mentally and physically. This is one of many reasons I love what I do and take so much pride in caring for others. What makes me a great caregiver is that I'm very passionate about my job I love what I do and who I meet, I been a caregiver for 9months now and I plan on for many more years. What attracted me to being a caregiver is my nana, she always needed help getting places and doing things, and I loved helping her so I started thinking about becoming a caregiver and helping more people.
