What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is that I enjoy helping people. I have experience with the elderly mainly from caring for my own grandparents the last seven years of their lives. My grandfather suffered from Alzheimer's and dementia. My grandmother had suffered a stroke and had cancer. Caring for them is where my passion for taking care of the elderly began. But I have always had a passion for helping in general. I am detail oriented, the smallest thing stands out to me. Example if someone is always smiling but then one is looking droopy or sad I ask questions. I have been a caregiver since 15 years old. My mom did it and when my grandma got sick I helped my mom care for her. She worked at an adult day care and I spend the summer with her. The smiles is what I wanted to see everyday.
