I became a caregiver after taking care of my grandmother, she had colon cancer. She wanted to stay home and do her care. It was more comfortable for her. I chose to become a CNA so that I can make others feel good and have someone to rely on. I am a strong person who has been threw ups and downs, I still managed to keep my residents and their families happy. I live to help others and that's what keeps me going. I am proud of all things I have accomplished even my children. I am a great asset to the work force of team players.

Since I was a little girl, all I've ever wanted to do was help others that can not help themselves. I believe that ever one deserves great, honest, loving care at all ages. I decided to be become a CNA because I wanted to start in the medical field before I received my degree. I love being a caregiver because I love seeing the love, joy and thankfulness on the face of my residents. I love to sit and listen to their stories and hear how they appreciate my help. From previous experience, I was the closest thing to family the that they had. I have a super soft spot in my hear for the elderly and children with disabilities. I live to see them smile. A little about myself: My name is Braiana Edwards I'm 21 years old I have struggled to figure out what I want to do in the medical field but I finally decided on Nursing. I'm a very friendly, genuine, responsible, respectful, loving, bubbly person. Everyone I've grown a bond with loves me and has found security in me on all levels.

Because being a humanitarian like I am I cannot stand to see human suffering, therefore I believed if I became a caregiver I could help relieve some of it. What I like about being a caregiver is helping my patients to achieve what they may have believed that they could have not achieved with out my help, and then helping them to produce a big smile on their face when the achievement has been realized. A personal achievement or achievements that I am proud of is the fact that I have been a certified nurses assistant for well over twenty years, and I am also a certified home health aide, also the fact that I am pursuing a BA degree in health care management and I achieved 54 credits. I am dependable, punctual, and in my opinion I give quality patient care, and I am a sports lover.

I have a level 2 background check done. I enjoy taking care of people, I feel we all need love, care and help. Hello, I became a caregiver over seven years ago. The reason for my decision is because of my grandmother. I didn't like the way they were treating her at a nursing facility , that's when I decided my time has come to take care of her. As we become older in life, we All need people we can just to take care of us. My long term goal is to open up a house that can house twelve patients and take care of them.

I have been in healthcare for 14 years. I enjoy being able to help people maintain their independence, as well as being a compassionate ear to listen to their ailments. The reason why I have been in this profession is simply because I love what I do. I have experience in long term care as well as home healthcare. I currently hold a license to pass medication and I am familiar with the restorative program. I consider myself very dependable and honest in every aspect of the word and you can feel assured that your loved one will receive the quality care that they deserve along with the companionship that everyone needs. I am currently enrolled in school to receive my Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Administration. I have worked as caregiver for over 10 years with one particular client whom I became very close to. She eventually past away and I stop working as a caregiver and pursue other interest and other career choices. I make caregiver very personal but who wouldn't it is a rewarding and fulfilling job. I have patient and a good sense of understanding them and their pain. It is hard at some point but you do your best to put yourself in their shoes and feel their pain by making it personal otherwise this job is not made for you. You have to go the extra mile and meet them halfway and let them know you are there for them by making them feel warmth and loved and happy even if it is just for that small moment. It makes a big different in their lives. Anyways I cannot say if I am the perfect candidate but I know I use my heart when it comes to caregiving because I had just lost my mother a year ago who suffered from a lot of complications including dementia and etc... things went down the hill for me and my life has never been the same.

I became a caregiver because I have seen the disabled and elderly be mistreated, and I want to be the one to treat them the way they should be treated. I like knowing when I leave my client their needs have been met to my best capability and smiles are in place! I'm proud that I chose to continue school for healthcare administration so that I can further help the needy elderly and disabled. I'm a sweet person who loves what I do and I put my all into my work. I have a week spot for people who don't have help but remain professional and loving them at the same time.

I became a caregiver because I wanted to help others achieve the best quality of living that they can. The things I like about being a caregiver is that it's a calling to care for people the way I do. A good feeling not just for me but for the patient I am caring for it is a blessing to be able to help someone. a special accomplishment that I will be proud of is to be able to continue to help others as long as I've been providing care so the year is something I'm proud ofto see so many smiles so many people have helped it's a greatest thing to see. What makes me a great caregiver is the fact that I am considerate, and care about other peoples feelings before my own. I am enthusiastic, seeing a client who is working their way back to recovery I get excited helping that person in their rehabilitative process. Last but not least I am a hard worker mixed with spiritual person. This is especially essential as a caregiver, because you never get tired of doing God's work. I became a caregiver initially to follow in my mothers footsteps, and then it became rewarding to do something so selfless in terms of helping others. What i like about being a caregiver is you start to realize it is more than a job. The care that some persons are receiving is so appreciated that they are happy to see you because they are in good hands. A personal achievement I am proud of is working one on one with a client who had a stroke. I took her to and from therapy sites, worked dilligently on range of motion exercises, and the next year her and her husband walked to the dance floor at my wedding. Tears of Joy was more than me getting married , but to see my client walking.Just to know our teamwork did that felt wonderful.

What makes me a great caregiver is I enjoy my elders, taking care of them being able to assist them and giving the companionship they miss or need. I have worked with elders over 5 years and I enjoy every minute of it. Just to see that I made them smile and happy makes me happy.

I'm a catholic/ Christian with over 7 years of experience in caregiving. I've worked in memory care and skilled nursing facility as well as in private homes. I'm very compassionate and full of love to give to seniors needing my assistance. I have a degree in nursing and also have an MBA. . I pride myself in being a hard worker, great management skills, good integrity, and always with a positive attitude in every situation.
