I first became a caregiver as a young lad to my mother from a tragic car accident; my grandmother & own children into working as a CNA/HHA through the years to many families alongside of spending time as a foster parent for few years to owning my own licensed daycare center. I have always had a nurturing heart to help other's be able to maintain their quality of life & health, so nursung has always been a passion & great fit for me naturally.

I am a mild manored individual who love caring for others. I like private cases which help aide with individualized care. What attracts me to being a care giver is that caring for others allow me to utilize my natural instinct. What I enjoy about being a care giver is the rewarding benefit that we as a team can accomplish. I like to treat others as I would want to be treated as well, which is the best at all times. One of my personal achievements that I am proud of is that I was able to aide in the care for my entire family until they were able to care for themselves successfully.

Watched my once vibrant well traveled organized Shriner member Air Force grandfather diminished before my eyes with diabetes and dementia. For someone who has been skinny all his life be stricken with Diabetes! Lost him in 2009. Uncle Anthony, best friend ten years apart, obesity and congestive heart failure, renal failure in 2011, and my Pop Pop, was never told he was sick until the day before with bladder cancer in January. I am so blessed and honored to achieve the greatness of knowing and loving them for 42 years of my life. Husband and I are military brats, been also caregiving him for six years, married for three. He suffers with TBI sustained since 17 and seizure disorder. Been blessed with a son, whom blessed me with Audrey(Peanut), 8 months. He is also in the military. With a broad set of skills and life experiences, with family and working in the school system with special needs students, feel it prepared me to further work with the older population

When I was 18 I got a job being a residential counselor at a group home for special needs kids, this is where I realised I wanted to work and help people in anyway I could. There is no greater feeling then know what I'm doing actually makes a difference in someone's life. After moving on from that job I began working with a gentleman with short term memory loss For a few years. In 2011 I went on my own and began Working with another gentleman, that need a hand With just about every daily need. I have done many different classes and certifications, I am also going to school to be a kindergarten / special education teacher.

I enjoyed taking care of individual at all stage of life. The importance of helping others. I am a diverse person with numerous experience in the healthcare and senior year of my bachelor in International Business with minor in Business Economics. I am a mother and a grandmother of two daughter and grandson and I am in a point in my life to enjoy and embrace all life has to offer, one lesson that I truly hold dear to my heart is having compassion, faith , and loving others..

I became a caregiver because I love to help others. Because I don't believe in nursing homes; unless care has become more than family can provide at home. Because sometimes those we love just need an extra helping hand to stay in a home they are comfortable in and love. I love seeing my patients eyes light up when they know I'm there to help. When they become part of me just like an extension of my own family. Becoming an EMT was a goal I set for myself a few years back and I was very proud of accomplishing my goal. IN YEARS PRIOR YOU DIDNT HAVE TO GO THROUGH ALL THE RED TAPE, THE LIVE SCAN SHOULD HAVE BEEN IMPLEMENTED YEARS AGO MAYBE PEOPLE NEEDING ASSISTANTS WOULDNT BEEN VICTIMS OF ROBBERY AND ABUSE.IM A VERY INDEPEND IT PERSON, IM ALSO A VERY BUSINESS ORIENTED PERSON A SINGLE PARENT IM THE MOTHER OF 9 CHILDREN. UNFORTUNETLY MY 1ST AND 2ND BORN SONS WERE KILLED 2 YEARS AND 2 MONTHS AND 1 DAY APART. SO I DEFINETLY KEEP ALL THINGS POSITIVE IN MY LIFE, SO IT WOULD BE A BLESSING FOR ME RIGHT NOW TO FIND A JOB DOING WHAT I LOVE TO DO, AND THATS HELPING CARE FOR THE ELDERLY AND THE DISABLED.

Because I enjoy taking care of people, putting a smile on their face,its very rewarding. I became acaregiver to help my mother in her adult foster home and later took over the foster home. I am very proud of the way I take care of my clients, I treat them with love and respect, which they deserve. I am a very loving and careing person and enjoy making people happy. The feeling of taking care of a person to the end and helping them there hard times is very rewarding to me,the last lady I took care of was for 8year's and just lost her February 9th

As a newly divorced Mother of six, I must be honest and say financial stability is my main motivation in working. I love my children dearly, and if I could, would choose to stay home and care for them. Fortunately, it is that same dedication and love for my children which drives me to succeed now, and if given the opportunity would implement those same standards within your residence. Although I am a beginner CNA, I am an expert in the field. Not only through my children, but also with my Mother who was a Senior Registered Nurse for over 35 years. I have also assisted a paraplegic relative, and a neighbor after hip surgery. I understand the caution in your decision, and do not envy it. Presently, I can only affirm my character and work ethic, and I ask for your permission to prove it.

I am already a caregiver. I like the fact that i am a person that people can count on when they need help or just need someone to talk to. An achievement that i am proud of is being memorable. In 6 years i haven't had a person or their family complain about my work. I am very considerate. I think that you should take everything about a person into consideration especially their feelings since you will never know how they are truly feeling about themselves or condition.

I became a caregiver because I was attending college at the time and it was in the same field I was going into so I started taking care of the elderly and I fell in love with my job, making my clients happy and feel good made me feel incredible. I treat everyone one of the clients as if they were my grandparents and make sure they need nor want for anything on my watch. I have been doing this for 18 years, I am a certified Home Health Aid, Caregiver, and Medication Technician I also have my adult CPR and FIRST AID cards along with infant and children training as well.

I have always been passionate about helping the aging adult population. I consider myself to be a progressing advocate with a strong purpose of protecting older adults. Being a caregiver is an honor, it's all about putting away your needs to assist others. I am currently continuing my education on a bachelor's in gerontology, because I want to know all I can do to help others age successfully, and have a positive experience during their current stage in life.

What makes me a great caregiver is that I go far beyond to provide my clients with the best quality of care. As a caregiver, my resident needs come first, and I make sure their health care needs are met. I first became interested in elderly care at the age of 11, I was a volunteer at a residential care facility where my Aunt worked. Later, at the age of 15, I became a dietary aide at another local residential care facility. Then, at the age of 18, I received my certificate as a State Tested Nurses Aide (STNA) and been working in the field for over 10+ years. I guess you can say I always had a passion for working with senior citizens and the elderly. I guess being raised by my great-grandmother taught me how to have compassion and patience for older people. What I enjoy most when it comes to being a caregiver is seeing my clients happy and relieved knowing their loved ones are being provided the best quality of care possible and seeing their healthcare needs taken care of. My greatest personal achievement is my children and obtaining my bachelor's degree in health care.
