I became a caregiver because my ultimate goal is to help people who cannot help themselves. What I like about this profession is that it is not for everyone, it is for strong, caring, and compassionate people. I believe that is the type of person I am, and that I can do so much for so many people. My proudest moment so far is graduating at the top of my class in the Nurse Assistant Training Program. My dreams are to keep getting ahead in the Nursing field, learning more and more every day.

I became a Certified Nurse's Aide and caregiver to help others and give back to those who have given so much to others over their life time. There comes a time in everyone's life when they need assistance with their daily lives. I treat each client, resident with the respect and care they so richly deserve. Each one is special in their own right and I care and assist each one as if they were a member of my direct family. I have a big heart with lots of love to give and enjoy making someones day a little brighter. I obtained a college degree that I wanted for a long time and each time I see an elderly person smile or can make one laugh is an accomplishment I cherish. I became a caregiver, because I love working with people and being able to help then. What I love about being a caregiver is being there for people that need you. A personal achievement for me is that I have just graduated a LVN program. I'm 25 years old, just graduated LVN nursing program, I would like to work as a cargiver well I'm waiting to take my boards.

My reasoning to become a care giver would be my grandma who was a nurse in the U.S. Navy. She was respected by all because she was the best at what she did. I learned a lot from her growing up. I love being able to help people who need the help. It makes me feel so good about myself knowing I am doing what my grandma taught me as well as I know even if it is a small impact in someone's life it makes me feel great. The most proudest achievement I have made was when I did my intern at a nursing home when I got my CNA and looking at those people's faces glow when I walked into their room or the compliments I got just because I sat there to listen to their stories or whatever they might have needed even if it was small. I learned a lot working there. It was a great experience in itself.

What makes me a good caregiver is just knowing what every family member wants when you are taking care of there love one . I became a caregiver because it makes me feel good just knowing that i can help someone with there daily living or just to be there to listen to them . And putting a smile on there face. I became a caregiver because by grandfather got ill and needs someone to help him, cook, do laundry and clean. I enjoy helping others and my achievement is knowing i have helped someone else. I am a mother of two married in need of some extra cash. I have done out of pocket cost to school myself, i have taken alzheimer classes, diabetes classes, cpr/first aid and want to continue. I am patient about this.

I love the elderly comunity, I think they are wise and interesting people full of stories and I care for each as if they were family. I treat them how I want to be treated when I become of age.
