I became a caregiver because being around the elderly just brings nothing but joy. it's always something different, and being able to care for people is all I've ever wanted to do. I like being a caregiver because knowing that I made it possible to make someone happy gives me an indescribable feeling. I am able to build a bond with the elderly in a way that I've never been able to build with anyone else. They appreciate every little thing I do for them, and thats what keeps me going.

Hello my name is Candice, I am a mother of 3 girls ages 9, 6 and 2 yrs old and I am married to a wonderful man for 9years. I have been a caregiver for 10 years, I graduated high school in 2010 and went into college straight after. I graduated college being top of my class in 2011, I did 1 year of internship and started working as a caregiver in 2011. What makes me a great caregiver is the fact that I have not only the qualifications but also the experience and compassion. Every since my daughter Maliyah was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer in 2012 I have always had a calling for bein there for those who are in need. As she passed July 2016, to this day, I have even more compassion in my heart to be there every step of the way with my patients/clients to help make them feel loved and happy. I have my associates degree as a medical assistant and I am an advanced patient care tech at a major hospital where I work in the ER and on all the hospital floors. I perform personal care and also iv's, blood work, catheters, ekg's, bladder scans, wound care and so much more. I also have my current CPR and TB.

I became a caregiver, because a friend (Carol) of my daughter needed 24 hour assistance for her father who was 88 years old with started signs of dementia and could not find anyone, she kept having problems with others she found. So, I told Carol, that I could help, well I enjoyed doing this so much and seen the problems Carol had with finding someone I decided after he passed away I wanted to help other families that needed help. So, now I have 4 other clients and had to hire others, but I make sure someone is there so you don't have to. We respect our clients and treat them as they are our family. I care for each and everyone of my clients and provide the best care possible. All my current and past clients have no problem talking to others about the services they receive for their loved ones.

I have 10+ years of experience in adult and senior care. I do my very best to be as dependable, compassionate, reliable and caring as I can be. I try to evaluate an individual's needs and create a care plan just for them. I can help with meal prep, medication, doctor's appointments, transportation and even chores around the house.
