what makes me a great caregiver is the fact that I am a good listener, observant, and caring. I really care about my job and I always treat my clients as if they are my own family. I chose to be a caregiver for many reasons. I like doing work that has the potential to make a difference in someone' s life. I like making someone smile and doing little things to make a person's day better. Above all, I feel like when you are older, you would want someone like yourself there to help you if you need help.

I am kind, trustworthy, good listener,and reliable person. My personal achievement is being in a team taking care of a lady that was in hospice and was given 6 months to live. A team of care givers was given an opportunity to take care of this client and she is still living over 2 years.

I love helping people of all ages, but especially those over 65, achieve better and more content-filled lives. I have active certificates as a CNA, CMT (Certified Medicine Technician, so I can give medicine including Insulin), CPR, AED, First Aid, am waiting to take the test to become certified also as a GNA, and have significant experience in varied areas of healthcare. I am compassionate, observant, timely, take initiative, am a self-starter, and have a very strong work ethic, but also love to laugh and see others laugh :). Other than being a parent of the most amazing kid, the personal achievement I am most proud of would be that I personally saved my Dad's life over 10 times in the last 7 years. I notice things most people don't. Like when someone has a stroke and their pupils getting very dark or big, or a slighten ashen face, changes of demeanor, urine collection color, ostomy-output color and so much more. Most people who call themselves caregivers do not put that much heart into their jobs. I love helping people, especially when they need the help and otherwise might not ask for it. Taking care of sick and elderly people who cannot care for themselves, gives me lots of joy. I love being able to make someone else's life easier and make them feel special and cared for. When I was twelve years old I helped to care for my sick grandfather during the last year of his life, this experience made me realize that this was my life calling to become a nurse and take care of those who need help.
