I worked with patient with idohypothimia (sleeping disorders), arthritic, pakistan, diabetic with insulin and kidney failure. I fell in love with caregiving back in high school when I took an elective class helping students with disabilities. In my early 20's I became a CNA and have always loved helping others every chance I get. I have worked in several different types of caregiver settings but eventually decided to leave the field because I was saddened and frustrated when I felt like my concerns about patient rights were constantly ignored by management. I decided I no longer wanted to work in places where I wasn't able to speak directly to the patient's family and be their voice. I prefer to have a more personal and family-like relationship with patients rather than a business relationship.

I became a CNA/ caregiver because my passion has always been wanting to help others. Growing up, I was the girl at school who carried a First aid kit on her just incase someone got hurt. I believe that while keeping it profession that sometimes our clients need a friend to talk to, which is why I will always lend a listening ear and open arms.

I am a great caregiver because I love caring for others. I used to work in corporate america and it paid well but was not very rewarding. This half of my life I would like to give something back to the world. My parents and grandparents were in need of CNA & PCA help as they aged and my family were the caregivers to them. Seeing them not able to care for themselves made me realize that one day this could be me. I would like to keep my dignity even if I am disabled or whatever the case may be. I learned that caring for someone requires a great deal of patience and thoughtfulness. Doing this type of job for the money will carry you through for about one minute. I am very proud that I went back to college to attain a 2nd degree, my RN degree and still am in the process of achieving this. Overall, I enjoy a challenge and the personal growth that comes with that. I enjoy a high energy level, love pets, good conversation and I love life.

I became a caregiver so that I could help bring joy to people. When I have needed special assistance or a helping hand I have always been blessed to receive help, from willing and capable hands. I Would like be that same blessing towards othets and take care of others. I also take care of my six children my mother and husband. I leave my infant and mother (whom is disabled due to a stroke) in the hands of pca and babysitter so I understand, how difficult it is to find great help.
