I became a caregiver because its what I love to do. I'am a mother, I love my kids and I love my grandparents, seeing them as old as they are I love helping them and guiding them, they make me want to help others in need also. When deciding on what to go to college for when I came upon CNA it just felt right! I wanted to eventually be a RN but being a CNA you get more close with your patients, because you helping them more and you have more close relations with them with the duties that are required of you. I take alot of dedication into my work, I think of my patients as if they were my own family. My personal achievements of being a caregiver is making sure all my patients make a full recovery, and their getting the help they need, and for my hospice patients, assuring them that their last days they were well taken cared of. Me, myself, I believe that you do good unto others and you will get the same! I'm a hard working person, I have patients request me and it makes me feel good, then I know I'm doing my job right. I sometimes go above & beyond for my patients and my staff while staying within procedure guidelines and office procedures. Being a caregiver makes me wake up happy and ready to go to my job because I love what I do!

I am an out going , caring, Loving person and for these reasons I became a CNA. I have watched how people were treated in homes and hospitals were I saw no empathy back in the days. When my grandfather and other family members were not treated how I felt was right, Is then I knew this was my calling.

Something I've always known about myself is how much I enjoy taking care of people. The first day of my CNA training, I felt like this is what I was meant to pursue. I happened to fall into caregiving shortly after. I LOVE it! As a CNA, It's difficult to give your 110% to every single one of your residents. With home care, I am definately able to give all that 110% for the client. I have a lot of compassion and I truly care about my clients. I'm always willing to learn and hopefully grow with all of my clients.

I genuinely love helping others, I applied for my first caregiving job in 2011 not knowing what to expect, but fell absolutely in love with the job. I loved being there for my residents every day/night feeling a great satisfaction with myself after every shift like I made someones day. I understand to some it was just a job, but they could have made the same amount flipping burgers I liked what i did, and that is why I feel I progressed every day.
