I feel "Care" is the most lightly taken word. "To care" doesn't just mean to supervise someone physically, it goes beyond that and it takes a very emotional yet strong person to take care of someone else who doesn't just need a shoulder but also a little smile, and loads of fun. That's how I took care of a couple of people, my family and non-family (who eventually became a part of my life). I care about people the way I would expect others to care for me and that makes me a better caregiver. I never took it as a profession until I came to the US and accidentally did a couple of assignments, which made me realize that I am good at it. I became a caregiver for my grandpa when he was sick. I like working and interacting with the residents and making them apart of my family. I'm proud that one of he residents I've had in the past remembered me even though they had advanced stages of dementia. I'm a medical assistant with 10+ years caregiver experience. I get along really well with everybody and adapt to any surroundings quite easily. I have always gotten along extremely well with the older generation. I took care of my own grandmother for over 20 years, and loved every minute of it. I've worked with many hospices around the valley, as most of my patients have passed on to a better place.
