Hello, I am Destiney. I moved to Arizona two years ago from Texas. I was a CNA in Texas for a few years. I got my CNA license when I was a senior in high school. Helping people is my passion! I am currently in college to become a respiratory therapist. I do have a level one fingerprint clearance card that I am willing to show upon interviewing.

Ive been working as a CNA since I was 18yrs old with a total of 10 years experience. I got into nursing through my mother, who would talk about her experiences as a nurse. Ive loved it ever since. Most of my experience is working with skilled and non-skilled patients in nursing homes and the last 3 years doing in home care and a little bit of hospital experience through one of my previous registry companies. I served in the US Navy for 2 years and recieved a honorable discharge for an injury. After that, I worked security for banner and attended collage for a while only to miss nursing, so i returned to it. I got into home care because it allows me to focus on one individual, rather than 16, allowing me to actually get to know the person. Professionally I tend to be a straight forward kind of person who loves his job and working with others that are hard workers and caring. I dont like to beat around the bush or sugar coat things to much. I try to "keep it real" (i hate using that phrase) and honest with my patients. I also try to make the best of any situation, whether thats for myself or for my patients. Mental health is just as important as ones physical health and thats always something i try to pass onto my patients.

Being a great caregiver is truly awarding and gratifying . Helping someone with their wants and needs , understanding what your client likes and doesn't . I'm a medical assistant with 10+ years caregiver experience. I get along really well with everybody and adapt to any surroundings quite easily. I have always gotten along extremely well with the older generation. I took care of my own grandmother for over 20 years, and loved every minute of it. I've worked with many hospices around the valley, as most of my patients have passed on to a better place. I have a car with the appropriate insurance, I cook, do light housekeeping, & I love listening to memories from the past.
