I have worked with child with developmental disablities as well as a varity of different care needs in hospitals, group homes and in personal homes. My personal achievement that I am proud of honestly is that I feel I helped to keep one of my clients alive a whole year longer because based on my observation (I cared for her for 3 years) I suggested that the medication shouldn't be given unless it was necessary vs. 3 or 4 times a day and the family listened and that made us all happy.

I became a caregiver to give the extra hand for people. Like those who aided me in taking care family members. The best in being a Caregiver is to see the people I care for relate and light up to the compassion and detailed orientated they receive. One of the personal achievements I am proud of is helping my husband through his cancer treatments.
