Ive been working as a CNA since I was 18yrs old with a total of 10 years experience. I got into nursing through my mother, who would talk about her experiences as a nurse. Ive loved it ever since. Most of my experience is working with skilled and non-skilled patients in nursing homes and the last 3 years doing in home care and a little bit of hospital experience through one of my previous registry companies. I served in the US Navy for 2 years and recieved a honorable discharge for an injury. After that, I worked security for banner and attended collage for a while only to miss nursing, so i returned to it. I got into home care because it allows me to focus on one individual, rather than 16, allowing me to actually get to know the person. Professionally I tend to be a straight forward kind of person who loves his job and working with others that are hard workers and caring. I dont like to beat around the bush or sugar coat things to much. I try to "keep it real" (i hate using that phrase) and honest with my patients. I also try to make the best of any situation, whether thats for myself or for my patients. Mental health is just as important as ones physical health and thats always something i try to pass onto my patients.

I have have 2 years experience as a CNA. I did a year at a rehabilitation center and then a year of personalized in-home care. I am CPR/first aid certified. I have experience with transfering, bathing/showering, cooking, light housekeeping, and assisting with all the daily needs. I am currently going to school to be a nurse. I love working with people and being able to provide care to those in need.

I realized I needed to do something that made a difference. I love how the residents appreciate the care I give them. I actually have two achievements I am proud of. One is how well my children turned out and the second was becoming a CNA. I'm a strong independent woman with a lot to offer. I'm compassionate, caring, dependable, reliable and responsible. What makes me a great caregiver is I'm compassionate and very empathetic. Growing up my Great grandmother got sick from a stroke and I got to see the CNAs take care and aid the sick.Being surrounded by that environment, I knew I wanted to be more hands on with patients, and from then on I knew I wanted to be a CNA. During High school I took a CNA( Certified Nursing Assistant) class for two years, and right after high school I landed my first job at the exact n Nursing/Rehabilitation facility. Boy was the job difficult- but it challenged me to push myself harder and I gave 100% at all times. Being a caregiver is such an honor- it's about putting away your needs to assist others. Knowing that a smile on your face can bring joy and happiness to someone else is priceless. The moments when you can reflect back and see how you have helped change someones life is what caregiving is all about. A job that recently fell into my lap at a independent home where I provided personal care to an elderly couple as well as some household tasks. I must say working there was one of my biggest achievements. It was very inspirational:This couple were no longer patients they became family. Not only has it allow me to provide companionship and change lives , but it gave me the oppertunity to help those who couldn't help themselves. This is what's prompting me to further my career in caregiving.

I like to take care of the elderly, I have a deep compassion for them, I like to talk to them, I also like to help them. I took care of my mom before she passed away. I Am very proud to be assisting the elderly. I am a very hard worker and I enjoy working in this field helping the elderly.

I completed my training for C.NA. at the age of 18 , I worked in regular hospital, private home, convalescent hospital, Borden care home , as well as taking care of my best friend dad, also my mother father, I dealt with dementia resident , also hospice , L VAD patient as of new training with stanford hospital complete the training 2015 of june heart patient all other experpience I have been doing this work since 1980 until 2014 so for 34 year. I am waiting for another assignment to care for another resident ,I love my job I will do this until I can not do anymore, I was introduce to caring for the ill at the age of 12 my dad and step mom ran a Borden care home in 1974 ,also work with stroke , dementia also. I do meal preparation ,shower,medication reminder,doctor appointment,monitor while in hospital,go above beyond. I am a caring person love my work, I hope to meet you.
