I became a caregiver because I love helping people. I beleive that is what I am meet to do. I started caring for my father as a child and have be doing it ever since. I have worked with child with developmental disablities as well as a varity of different care needs in hospitals, group homes and in personal homes. I treat people the wayI would want to be treated, with respect and dignity. I make sure that i take pride in what it do. I also take care of my clients as if they were my family. I

My personal achievement that I am proud of honestly is that I feel I helped to keep one of my clients alive a whole year longer because based on my observation (I cared for her for 3 years) I suggested that the medication shouldn't be given unless it was necessary vs. 3 or 4 times a day and the family listened and that made us all happy.
