I became a caregiver because I love helping people. I beleive that is what I am meet to do. I started caring for my father as a child and have be doing it ever since. I have worked with child with developmental disablities as well as a varity of different care needs in hospitals, group homes and in personal homes. I treat people the wayI would want to be treated, with respect and dignity. I make sure that i take pride in what it do. I also take care of my clients as if they were my family. I

I'm a medical assistant with 10+ years caregiver experience. I get along really well with everybody and adapt to any surroundings quite easily. I have always gotten along extremely well with the older generation. I took care of my own grandmother for over 20 years, and loved every minute of it. I've worked with many hospices around the valley, as most of my patients have passed on to a better place. I have a car with the appropriate insurance, I cook, do light housekeeping, & I love listening to memories from the past. I love people, and I like taking care of people, especially the vulnerable. When patients are sick, I think they need special care, compassion and empathy. I learnt to be patient, when my dad fell sick with cancer. We had to take care of him, and through that, I learnt so much. His illness opened my eyes to the world that I really wasn't familiar with. Not to say that I wasn't compassionate then. It taught me that any of us could be on the other side of the bed, and may one day need care. My Behavior and care towards my resident makes me a great caregiver. I choose this profession because of my own grandparents and since i got my license i love my job and everything about it,i enjoy taking care of my elderly and i love their stories ,their experience makes you learn something new in life.

The most important thing in my life is my family. I understand the need of having the best quality care for loved ones. Both of my parents suffered from medical conditions and giving them loving care and patience led them to a healthy recovery. I am an expert at observing and watching for signs of illness and immediately taking action when necessary. I enjoy being a companion while listening and communicating, doing activities, assisting with toileting and ADL' s, administering medications, cooking and cleaning.
