I am a responsible and dependable caregiver. My experience around elderly and in Assisted Livings has given me understanding and compassion for residents in any type of limitation that they are experiencing. I am patient, respectful, hardworking, and passionate about caregiving. What attracted me to being a caregiver was my mother. She used to be a caregiver and would take me to work every week since I was 5 so you could say I grew up in an assisted living surrounded by elderly. As a result, I've been exposed to a variety of different elderly residents with a vast range of limitations including dementia, Alzheimer's, schizophrenia, blindness, deafness, diabetes, and residents that are independent. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is learning from the residents. Each one of them is so unique, and each one of them communicates differently, sometimes because of their disabilities or limitations, but they all have a story and a lesson to pass on to others.

I am a current sophomore nursing student with a heart and passion to care for those in need. I love to bring others joy and comfort through the small things in life. Caregiving gives me the opportunity to uplift those who need help. I come from a long line of caregivers--my grandfather a cardiologist, my grandmother a home care coordinator, my mother a labor and delivery nurse, and my father a psychologist--so this peaked my interest for patient care. I have worked as a caretaker for Interim Healthcare and Amada Senior Care during my breaks in schooling. I started my medical journey during my senior year of highschool where I obtained my Emergency Medical Technician certification. My passion for the medical field is continuing to grow as I attend nursing school.

Hello, I'm Nicole and I was raised In Germany and Denmark before moving to the USA with my mom in ...well a long time ago. Growing up in a diverse social service worker household, where my Summers and all my school breaks were spent in camps and day cares with kids/adults with special needs, I never considered a career in anything BUT taking care of others. I remember my Great grandma going through the stages of Alzheimers and not fully understanding this, but feeling that she needed lots of love. While so many people are unhappy about their employment I feel blessed to have mine. I'm happy to say that I love doing what I do and I get to do it 24/7It is not a job to me it is my life, my history and my future. I am a highly energetic woman and I love to bring joy to others. At the same time, I'm patient and compassionate and I respect that everyone's situation is unique and needs to be treated as such. I spent nearly 20 years in case management and I came to realize how much I missed Direct Care, especially after taking care of my daughter. One of my favorite sayings is " It is an honor to take care of the ones that once took care of us' I have many many years of experience in a very diverse Social Service background and I don't shy away from any responsibilities. After over 30 years working in IT with computers, 10 years ago I reinvented myself in the healthcare field starting as a Certified Nurse Aide. Hello my name is Luis I'm 22 and have been a caregiver for about 4 years now. I've been able to help clients that have IDD to other disabilities. Being in the job for awhile has taught patience, compassion,and how to be assertive. I've always had younger cousins that I took care of so naturally I just followed what I already knew how to do. When I was younger I used to volunteer at the nursing home and that's another thing that made me realize I wanted to be in this field.
