Hello, I'm Nicole and I was raised In Germany and Denmark before moving to the USA with my mom in ...well a long time ago. Growing up in a diverse social service worker household, where my Summers and all my school breaks were spent in camps and day cares with kids/adults with special needs, I never considered a career in anything BUT taking care of others. I remember my Great grandma going through the stages of Alzheimers and not fully understanding this, but feeling that she needed lots of love. While so many people are unhappy about their employment I feel blessed to have mine. I'm happy to say that I love doing what I do and I get to do it 24/7It is not a job to me it is my life, my history and my future. I am a highly energetic woman and I love to bring joy to others. At the same time, I'm patient and compassionate and I respect that everyone's situation is unique and needs to be treated as such. I spent nearly 20 years in case management and I came to realize how much I missed Direct Care, especially after taking care of my daughter. One of my favorite sayings is " It is an honor to take care of the ones that once took care of us' I have many many years of experience in a very diverse Social Service background and I don't shy away from any responsibilities. I am a current sophomore nursing student with a heart and passion to care for those in need. I love to bring others joy and comfort through the small things in life. Caregiving gives me the opportunity to uplift those who need help. I come from a long line of caregivers--my grandfather a cardiologist, my grandmother a home care coordinator, my mother a labor and delivery nurse, and my father a psychologist--so this peaked my interest for patient care. I have worked as a caretaker for Interim Healthcare and Amada Senior Care during my breaks in schooling. I started my medical journey during my senior year of highschool where I obtained my Emergency Medical Technician certification. My passion for the medical field is continuing to grow as I attend nursing school.

I love helping others and it's always been in in blood. I started working on the Telemetry floor at a hospital while in college and fell in love with the medical field and people. Caring for others is definitely my calling. Shortly after that I took great care of my grandmother who had dementia and knew me half the time. I'm glad I got to have that time with her. I have had my own health trials and have had to overcome more in my life that I ever thought possible. When I got to the point of good health again the first thing I wanted to do was help others and that's what keeps me going. I am warm, compassionate, funny and all around just a nice person. I'm patient, kind and understanding. I became a caregiver because I love helping others. I am compassionate and strive to help patients maintain their independence. Patient, personable and professional in responding to resident needs, with a gentle touch and caring attitude centered on treating all with dignity and respect. I was a caregiver for my dad for 7 years before he recently passed away from cirrhosis.
