Hi my name is Keana Mae, I am a verry hard worker I love to work as a home health aide I been doing it for 4 years I just moved from Hawaii to here beautiful Colorado Springs. I wanted to be a caregiver ever since k have toilet care of my grandmother. She brought me close to just wanting to take care of others. I love being a caregiver it helps me getting to know all my clients and there conditions and being able to say I can help them, I am so proud of myself for this not only because I make my grandmother proud but I can also help others make them proud and for my self I love to help all my clients and i will always get the job done in any needs that they need me to.

Certified nurse assistant with combined experience working in long term assisted care, skilled nursing and rehab care, including hospice, and clinical patient care. I began my healthcare journey by working in assisted living and memory care settings where i progressed in the field and recieved certifications such as nursing and medication administration. I am very dynamic in where I continue to elevate my career by continuously pursuing certifications, and education. What I enjoy most about my career is being able to advocate for patients and clients that have transitioned into assisted and clinical care, educating families and people of all backgrounds about the changes that come with aging. I have also served as a leader and trainer in my field, I am passionate about teaching caregivers the skills needed to provide our seniors with high quality, person centered care.

What makes me a great caregiver is that I have always had a passion to help elderly people since I was 16 years old taken care of my grandmother.I became a serious caregiver after my grandmother had past away not knowing she was training me to love doing what I do.....helping others to get better in health. What I love about being a caregiver is knowing I made a difference in helping my clients grow in their achievements also in relationship as a team player

At an early age I seemed to connect with older adults and like to help out when needed. I have had many older friends as mentors that taught me a variety of life skills. These wise mentors taught me love, compassion and service to others which I am able to bring to my clients. I enjoy serving others, treating my clients with respect and valuing their needs in the same way that I would want to be treated. Presently, I have afternoons and evenings open. I go to school from 8am to 12:30 Monday-Friday.

I am a friendly and caring people person and I very much enjoy spending time caring for others. I am certified in child and adult CPR & Universal Precautions through the Red Cross. I have seven months prior experience as a in home care provider with a company called Homewatch Caregivers of Englewood. I am familiar and comfortable with many task and responsibilities involved with providing in home care. Some tasks that I familiar with are but are not limited to; assisting with bathing, toileting, dressing, eating, cooking, exercise, and reminding of medication. It is important that I have good communication with the family of the patient to make sure all of the clients need are being thoroughly met.
