I am a trustworthy and compassionate certified nurses assistant looking for work as a caregiver. I am a nurturer by nature, and enjoy being able to care for people that need my help. I have ample experience caring for elderly patients with dementia and stroke, as well as in a nursing home, and have cared for a wide variety of needs. Primarily I've worked with Alzheimer's/dementia patients, I enjoy being able to help and provide care for those who are no longer able to fully care for themselves.

Food preparation and feeding client, according to strict dietary requirements and procedures Cleaning and light housekeeping (client's laundry, dishwashing, cleaning spaces used by client and caregivers, cleaning therapy equipment) Assisting with therapies (cognitive, speech, occupational) and range-of-motion exercises, including manual transfers to and from bed to assist client with weight-bearing and balance exercises. General companionship and interaction with client (i.e. reading books, cognitive therapies). Driving client to and from appointments and activities in a client-provided wheelchair accessible van.

The thing that makes me a great Caregiver is : I love caring for people who need my help ! I'm a CNA , and have worked in a Nursing Home , Private Group Homes , and done Private In Home Healthcare for the elderly . I even took care of my own Mother in my home for several years , seeing to her meds , personal hygiene , meals etc... I took care of her until she was almost 88 years old , became extremely ill , was put on Hospice , and she passed away in my home , with me present ! I basically love people , and find caring for those that need the help of a CNA , very rewarding . A little history about me : I was a stay at home Mom for 20+ years , and raised 5 beautiful children . They are all grown now , and very successful ! All my patients loved me because they knew I really cared about them , and their families !

I am a very passionate and caring person with good heart. I have over 7 years experience as a care giver and have worked in hospital, skilled nursing , memory care, rehabilitation and home care setting. I also have a valid CNA licence, and CPR certification. After taking care of my Dad as he battled stroke for 10 years, I decided to work in healthcare and assist in making impact to our elderly .
