I'm retired from boeing but I do some care giving I'm a very compassionate loyal trustworthy and punctual person. I love to make seniors smile, laugh, and take on outtings if they wish, and are able to do. My love for Seniors started when my Aunt went to a Rehab center. I realized how much she enjoyed our outtings, playing games, and reading to her. She passed. It prepared me for the care of my Mother, who has now passed. On my time off, I enjoy my 3 grandkids. Have a cabin in leavenworth that we enjoy. I enjoy reading, canning, cooking and weekend trips in the PNW.

Hello, my name is Kaylee, and i am 23 years old, and a fun fact is im type 1 diabetic.My hobbies consist of being with my family and friends, hiking, shopping and taking our trucks off roading. I love care giving because its a very rewarding job, i love helping people, i also had family who needed care givers so i understand the importance of needing help and finding the right person to help.

I graduated from Washington State University with a Bachelor's degree in psychology and two minors in human development and sociology. Since then I have been working for a residential care agency with adult family homes and single individual apartments. I began as a caregiver and moved up to a site supervisor and eventually an area supervisor. As an area supervisor I manage eight special needs clients and 25 staffing caregivers. I am looking to change my job and do private caregiving as it will be closer to my home. I absolutely love being a caregiver and I cannot imagine myself doing anything else. I have a vast array of experience with many types of medical diagnoses and special needs. I strongly believe that the greatest skills a caregiver can have is incredible patience and to remain positive and smiling for those you care for! Hello, I'm Kathryn but you can call me Katie! I enjoy assisting residents with having the best quality of life possible and if we laugh and have a good time to then we are both winning in life! I have been a caregiver for 16+years. I started caring for children in my neighborhood when I was 12 years old and knew then that I would grow up caring for others. During high school I was in a volunteer program for elderly companionship and truely enjoyed spending time with the people I've met. I love listening to stories, reading books, playing favorite games, and bringing laughs to their bedside tables. If I help a laugh or smile I feel like I'm doing my job right. I know pretty much all the tricks of the trade when it comes to just about anything that comes up in a situation for a person once I've gotten to know them and their daily routine. I focus on client based care, and meeting the clients needs and comfort is priority and I do as best possible with what tools I have to work with.

I truly believe to be a good caregiver you need to know what needs to be done. I have the energy, the capability, and the drive to take action. I make it a priority to always be aware of the physical and emotional needs of my clients that are in my care, I try to take notice and be observant when something is \"off,\" and not to ignore a problem or unhealthy changes happening with the client, and give up until we figure out how to address the problem. I believe our elders need caregivers with these traits, because sometimes our clients can't clearly communicate themselves, or they simply don't know what's wrong. As a caregiver I need to possess the courage and tenacity to make sure my client receives the best of care and always include the family and physicians and whoever else is part of the care team.

I started out working in a big retirement home in redmond when i was, 22 loved it but after becoming preganet i chose to take,a couple years off for my daughter. Later i started back taking care of my grandmother. And thats, where my passion for helping elders kicked in. I found a pleasure in helping them. It makes this feel less like a job and more like a day out. I like, working more in smaller places that way i can dedicate my time to one.
