i started off in the caregiving field when my grandfather was diagnoised with cancer, i wanted to help make him feel better in what ever i could do. i love to help people feel better about themselves. i go above and beyond for my clients. i love to know that i can make them smile and be of a assistance for them. i am currently enrolled for my CNA and going for my LVN. i just want to make a difference in someone life.

I started in caregiving because I was advises to find any jpb with a non-profit while in school to help with futue employability. From the first minute at my first caregiving job, I knew this was what I was meant to be doing.

My grandmother turned me on to the health care field when she was diagnosed with Alzheimer's dementia. I cared for her until she passed. I then went to work at Shelby gardens place, where I met many different elders with many different personalities. While working with my clients I learned that most of them only want love and for someone to spend time with them. A personal achievement I have would be completing school for event planning. This would include but not limited to activities and workout plans for the elderly.

I love helping people and I love working with others. I love working with elderly people because I would like for someone to do me as I do them.

I am a very caring person. I look for the good in everyone. What attracted me to caregiving was my grandmother (favorite person in my life), was diagnosed with Cancer and all i wanted to do was help her get through it, or make things easier for her. She passed away and it showed me how far I am willing to go to make sure I take of those in need. What I enjoy most about caregiving is making sure my job is done and making sure the client is happy. A person achievement that I am proud of is being admired for my skills to make people feel comfortable and trust me.

I am a cregiver. I have recently cared for individuals with alzheimer, dementia and multiple sclerosis. I normally play music that my patients used to love in their childhood and young adulthood. I find that it relaxes them! My greates t.f achievement was when I graduated from Army BootCamp, but not more grayifying then my 2 boys ages 2 and 8. I love being a caregiver because i love caring for others. Ok feel like im giving back. I also love the old stories that the elderly have to tell. I fjnd that alot of the elderly really dont have much family to xome see them. I try to get them out the house and go places and do things.

I noticed that I'm gifted when it comes to health care. I shadow under a RN should taught me everything I needed to know about catheter, how to clean it also change it as well, I know how to transfer my clients out of the bed or use a hoyer lifter, assist with medication, schedule doctors appointment, laundry, prep cooking, activities, housekeeping, I'm soon to become a RN with bachelors degree, I just got a business doing home health care me and another person he is very talented as well and good at what he does we are reliable my prices are affordable too. 4436082673

I am a caregiver in my own family and always have been in my own special way. I have been told I have the patience of a saint, and I always thought that was true. I would love an opportunity to spend every day doing this for a living instead of just when the occasion arises, like when my own day her allows me to care for him. This month I am completing my associates degree in Business and can't wait to put it to some use. Only problem is, I am very caring and compassionate and the business world doesn't present a lot of jobs for those type of people. I decided to become a caregiver because I really like helping and encouraging others to enjoy life no matter what! it is important to me to treat the elders and disabled with respect, if it was my love one I would want the same treatment for them in return. I became a caregiver after helping my mother take care of my great grandmother after she had a stroke. Being able to help others whom are not able to do for themselves as normal brings me joy. My most recent job was as a Caseworker for the state of Texas Adult Protective Services. I worked in complicated environments and had to investigate complex cases. The job required me to use strong problem-solving skills and excellent interpersonal communication skills. I worked as a resident manager at a drug and substance abuse rehabilitation facility called Covenant Hills. I provided counseling and worked as part of a treatment team to assist women with recovery from drug addiction. I make the choice to work in helping professions because I desire to contribute to the welfare of others. My name is Jameesa, and Iv'e been working as a caregiver for about 10 plus years now. Its always been a big deal to me to help others who couldn't help themselves. Care giving can have a lot of demands but that comes with any profession . I think what makes me.a good caregiver is I TRULY CARE & LOVE the elderly. It's not just a job to me. I love to talk to them and hear their life stories. I think they are the forgotten of our generation that need true companionship and good CARE. They are so wise and too many time I've seen them get brushed off by others as if they are not important. I consider my personal.achievement was taking care of my mother. Her dementia was bad. Lots of very stressful and hard days. Some days even she would cuss me out and say she hated me. I would have to go outside and cry. But then once I had to get her up to go to the restroom she would hug my neck and say"I don't know what I would do without you." and that made it all worthwhile. I took care of her until she became bad enough that the family decided she needed to be somewhere with 24 he medical care.

I am a great caregiver because I have a love for the aging population. I have experience in caring for my grandmother and mother whom both have disabilities . I currently have my Masters in health care administration with a concentration in gerontology. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is helping!

When I began caregiving I quickly figured out that I was literally being paid to be "me". I do for people what I would hope anyone would do for another person. I truly enjoy and learn from the senior community and its a privilege to spend time with them. I often say that I missed my era. I am most proud of my accomplishments as a mother and I feel the lessons I experienced raising my own children was a benefit to the compassion and nurturing nature I carry over into the lives and homes that I am blessed with in this profession. As I was told by my very first ,very mean client as I helped for the first time ever with toileting.......She said sternly "Girl would you treat me like you would want to be treated" Something clicked in me that day and I have been a Caregiver for 7 years since .
