Hi! Ive been a caregiver for a little bit over 5 years. I'm driven to widen the spectrum of this profession by working with different types of patients and different environments. I'm currently in college for Healthcare Administration and working in the field as a caregiver has motivated me to take a step further for the love of my career.

I became a caregiver in the event of my father suffering a stroke. In the rehabilitation process I became greatly inspired and chose a different career path from merchandising to wanting to work within the health care industry beginning with elderly care as a certified aide. I fell in love with my job and the responsibility of making my clients feel cared for, comfortable, and safe. I have worked for the last two years currently under going online classes to further my education in nursing.

I have care for all three of my grandmothers in the past whom are all now deceased. Hello there! My name is Michelle and I have been caring for someone since I was in the 10th grade. (Years ago) I moved in with my grandmother, she had been a widow for about 3 years. She was suffering from depression, breathing issues and I know many more health issues that later claimed her life. Her living conditions weren't the best and she totally refused to go to the doctor. I arranged for her to move into an apartment which she enjoyed for about 2 years. I never thought that I would be working in this field. I originally went to school for administration careers. But to see their faces light up when you please them is why I continue to work in this field. Plus I have the satisfaction of knowing that care was administered properly. I have worked with the elderly, as well as, individuals with special needs. Very willing and ready to meet your families needs.

I became a care giver because of the compassion that I have for the elderly and the sick.I get a sense of satisfaction knowing I am able to help some one or aided them in their day to day activities. A personal achievement that am proud of iwas helping out a client who was down to a point where she was able to do things on her own. I have have been a care giver for 11years years, I have experience in dementia, Alzheimer's adults with developmental disabilities and the paraplegic. I have worked in ling term care, hospitals, group homes and home health. I have done both live out and live ins. I am a very honest ,dependable and a very faithful caregiver.

I began providing caregiving services at the age of 18 years old for an agency and privately. I have always enjoyed providing services for those less fortunate of having help via family and/or companionship. A personal achievement I am proud of is returning to school at twenty-four and obtaining my high school diploma, and continuing on to trade school, college and then graduate school accomplishing every goal I set forth. I love working with the senior population and being a service to others. I am about 70% completed in a master's program in gerontology and will be finished this upcoming summer. Healthcare is my second career and I enjoy working with people.

Because I lost my Grandmother in the nursing home and I took care of my mother and father before he and she pass away. I just have a heart for people who needs help. I have over 5 years of caregiver experience. I took care of my 94 years old mother. Being a caregiver takes a lot of patience and caring for elderly. I love what I do. When I was 20 I heard about a job opportunity that would pay for me to get my CNA while working, and I thought it was a good idea, so I applied. I had never thought about being a CNA but I thought it was worth the try. I got the job, and once I started the job I fell in love with it. I knew then that I would spend the rest of my life in the medical field.
