I am a great caregiver because I have a love for the aging population. I have experience in caring for my grandmother and mother whom both have disabilities . I currently have my Masters in health care administration with a concentration in gerontology. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is helping!

When I began caregiving I quickly figured out that I was literally being paid to be "me". I do for people what I would hope anyone would do for another person. I truly enjoy and learn from the senior community and its a privilege to spend time with them. I often say that I missed my era. I am most proud of my accomplishments as a mother and I feel the lessons I experienced raising my own children was a benefit to the compassion and nurturing nature I carry over into the lives and homes that I am blessed with in this profession. Hi! I have been taking care of living beings and organics my entire life. I get true joy in helping others. I am that person that would give you the t-shirt off my back or my last dollar to help. I recently moved my grandfather from New Castle, PA down here to Corning, OH after my grandmother had passed away. He was not being taken care of properly in Pa. He had several major medical issues going on. When I got him in my care he was 86 lbs. Within 6 months I had him up to 125. His highest weight was 154 before the last month or 2 of his life and he started to go downhill. He struggled with emphysema, COPD, CLL, prostate and urinary problems, a slew of heart problems, dementia, hearing loss and he was very combative when trying to get him to eat or bath. But he lived the best life he had left in my care until he passed this past October. I had him for 2 years. I am a very intelligent individual whom loves to garden, homestead, live off the land, read a ton, craft, cook and bake. I am a sewing enthusiast and make my own jewelry. I was told about this job option by a friend of mine who works for the company and she thought I would make a perfect fit for it since I am moving back home. I want to be able to care for more individuals as I did my grandfather. I am experienced in nursing home/assisted living care. In specific dementia and Alzheimer's. I was certified in med pass. My children are growing like weeds and they won't be home forever. I have several personal achievements. My most important one is that I am appointed by the State Supreme Court of Ohio to serve abused and neglected children and be their voice in court. I own a small business owner and opened up my own bakery. I did that and am closing/selling my business to move back home to be closer to family.
