Hi! I'm Crysta :) I am a single mom of a disabled adult son, I have 20 years of experience caring for the elderly as well as the disabled population. I'm a very caring and patient person. I've assisted my elderly grandparents since 9 years old. Although not knowing it was an actual job, I did it because it was for them. I treat my clients as if they were part of my own family. I started babysitting at 10 from newborn to 10 years old. I enjoy helping others in whatever I'm able to.

I truly believe in celebration of life at all stages and ages. I enjoy being able to bring sunshine in somebody else's day. In college, I upgraded to working with private families during the day and in the evenings I worked as a coach for youth soccer camps. Since graduation, l've worked with a family as a live in caregiver. I've been working in senior care for the last 4 years, and am CPR and First Aid certified. I consider myself a great caregiver because I do not view it as "just another job"; giving care is my passion. When I take on a client, it is not about just getting the job done. I like to connect with them on a personal level while taking care of their needs. I believe the clients comfort in their own home is top priority.

I have worked in the healthcare profession for many years and have dedicated my life to serving others. The personal achievement that I am proud of is creating programs for individuals in need and seeing them happy that you put them first. I worked at a drug rehab for clients who lived on the streets for many years. I created many programs for them so they could make a smoother transition back into a life they once knew. This program was not a part of my job description, and that is what made it so special to them and me.

Why i became a caregiver is I had to take care of my elderly grandmother and grandfather when they were sick . My grandmother was my world and I wanted to do all I could to make her better, I like assisting and caring for people. My achievement would be I had a patient that was suffering from dementia and we would sing daily and sometime he knew the words and other days he didn't. But the days he knew we were both proud of ourselves. Something about me is I have been in retail customer service for 13 years and then started doing what I am passionate about and that is companion care. Also I have a BS degree in healthcare administration. I have a flexible work schedule for most days.

I am a ElderCare Caregiver because I love caring for seniors, coming along side them assisting them in there home environment with there daily needs, helping to adjust or meet the challenges of aging and staying in there homes. I started as a caregiver 10 years ago, when my sister was ill with Crohn's disease I was off work at the time and took care of her. I was an Accountant for 25 years and switched careers and have gone on to become HHA, CNA Certified. I believe that as a caregiver our elderly seniors deserve great care in a respectful loving manner. I come into there homes to assist them, not to take over, but to be there hands, arms and feet it needed. To be the help customized just right for them.

I love to help people I have a bachelor's degree in psychology, that's why I went into that subject because I am intrigued by people and I love to help them. I have a very sweet and polite persona. I am willing to do whatever makes them smile and happy! I love to hear stories from them if they like to tell them, I'm kinda of an old soul. I know I am a good caregiver because I treat people that others love the way I would want someone to treat someone that love or myself if I ever needed this type of care. I am always polite and respectful. I was mostly brought up by my grandparents whom I loved dearly and they laid down a good foundation to how you treat others in life and how you treat others says alot about your morals and character. Hello! Im a 32 year old mother and nurse! Im an LPN and have worked as CNA and Med Tech as well. I have been a nurse since 2012 and have worked in healthcare since 2004. I have worked predominantly with elderly patients but have experience with all age groups. I have worked post op in a hospital, SNF, psych, home health, and in clinics. I am honest, trustworthy, and caring. I have a valid LPN license in 3 states, including Washington. I have no blemishes on this license. I am reliable and love caregiving and cannot wait to care for your family member!

I think what makes me.a good caregiver is I TRULY CARE & LOVE the elderly. It's not just a job to me. I love to talk to them and hear their life stories. I think they are the forgotten of our generation that need true companionship and good CARE. I enjoy most just sitting with them if their able to talk and getting to know them and hearing their stories. They are so wise and too many time I've seen them get brushed off by others as if they are not important. I consider my personal.achievement was taking care of my mother. Her dementia was bad. Lots of very stressful and hard days. Some days even she would cuss me out and say she hated me. I would have to go outside and cry. But then once I had to get her up to go to the restroom she would hug my neck and say"I don't know what I would do without you." and that made it all worthwhile. I took care of her until she became bad enough that the family decided she needed to be somewhere with 24 he medical care.
