Friendly, patient, outgoing, kind, resourceful, respectful, and easy going. My mom would say handsome, but I won't. My last job left me unfulfilled and therefore I made a decision to continue with being a caregiver after helping my mother for almost a year after she suffered a stroke brought on by diabetes. Life is about being of service to others and not solely about existing.

I have a big heart when it comes to helping the elderly. Developing a bond with my patients is rather important to me because it's a priority of mine to make sure they are as comfortable as possible when I'm on their time. I love this field of work and put my all into the patients I work with. Putting smiles on each others faces day to day and learning a little something about one another is always something I look forward to.

I take great pride in providing assistance to those who are unable to accomplish daily hygiene, and other tasks. I enjoy working with the elderly and the ability to help them overcome their struggles. It is my goal to promote love, kindness, generosity and happiness to every client.

Hi! A little bit about myself. I can't express in words the feeling I get when working with the elderly population. My story starts off at age 8 years when I watched my mother, who was a CNA in geriatric facilities for 42 years, take tender care of her clients with a smile and gentleness that I carried with me throughout my life. Every time I have the opportunity to connect with a family, I don't see it as a job, but, a time to reignite that smile I seen on my mother's face them many years ago and enjoy the feeling of being able to be a help mate. That is what makes me the most proudest in my role as a caregiver.

My personality trait(s) are many, I love people, very compassionate about helping others, and have over 30 plus years of experience in the field of Geriatrics. My compassion for those sick and hurting led me to become a caregiver, wherever I can bring comfort and assistance. I get a fulfillment from knowing at the end of my shift I have brightened someone's day, assisted him/her in whatever need they had and made it better. This is very satisfying for me both spiritually and physically. I was my family's caregiver for most and put my education on hold, I completed my Bachelor's in Health Care Administration a couple of years ago, and now working toward my Masters, so proud of myself, even at this time in my life. Firmly believe in persevering.

I am a morning, evening, and night person. My mood doesn't depend on others. I stand out because of my compassionate personality and beautiful smile. I go above and beyond for any resident in my care. I like to take my time and get to know them. I was interested in CNA work because I already had the compassion in my heart and I could see that people needed care that they were not receiving and I wanted to be that one to give it to them.

Since 2009 I have earned and maintained my National Certification as an Activities Director and in 2013 received my Certification as a Nursing Assistant. Over the years I have worked in various settings such as long term care facilities, rehabilitation hospital, hospice and palliative care, and in homes.
