I was raised by a handicapped single mum and by the age of 13, I started taking care of her. i moved in w/my elderly mother to help take care of her 3 years ago. in that time she had a stroke and i was soooo glad i was there for her. i assist her w/ every aspect of daily life and sleep well @ night knowing she is well cared for. knowing others might not be as fortunate to have a live in, the thought occurred to me it would be nice to share that sense of peace and security w/others. i was made to care for others and enjoy it so much. i also help my 2 children w/babysitting and housekeeping for my grandchildren. it gives me a joy i cannot describe. it would be selfish for me to keep my talents to myself. i believe i am being called into this field and am now exploring that possibility.
