I started my journey as a caregiver earlier in life when volunteered in high school at the local Hospice center. I did not know then that I would come to love and enjoy helping people as much as I do. It took a while to get my foot in the door, but I found a lovely family in Florida that gave me the opportunity to assist their father, whom I cared for for years. Now that I've moved to NY. I'm finding new opportunities to help people again. Through volunteering at church, or lending a helping hand, it brings me so much joy to help others.

I'm an extremely caring person. I have a 31 year old daughter, I am a widow and have a two cats. I have taken care of two disabled adults, two elderly couple that came out of surgery, a woman with Alzheimer's and dementia, a gentleman with dementia. I made sure they were bathe, wash clothing, folded clothing, changed feeding tubes, drove them to doctor's appointments, drove them to visit neighbors, made breakfast, lunch, and sometimes dinner. I also would change the bed every other day. I did light cleaning. I consider myself to be attentive, kind and patient. I know that I can be there for someone if they needed a companion, or small duties of which I've already done in the past. I have a vehicle but I'd prefer to use the patient's vehicle for anything we have to go run errands for. I am currently living in Brookshire Texas. I am willing to learn or be trained for something I have not yet assisted with. I do not have a license as nurse but I am CPR Certified. I am willing to work with ages 25 and up. Will not take COVID vaccine.

I love old people ,some are lonely and sick.Been there,not fun .I have become a widow and retired ,it is boring.Want to go back to work partime.Love caregivers because helping one another is part of God's plan

I am a great caregiver because I am attentive with my orderly clients. I have great ways how to care for my olderly. Taking care of my grandparents during the most difficult time of their lives inspired me to become a caregiver. When I am with an older person I have great conversations about their life. That's what I enjoy the most of being a caregiver.

I became a caregiver/ certified nursing assistant on August 8 2003. I love the healthcare/medical field. I chose this path because I have always had a passion for taking care of people. I come from a family of nurses and caregivers. I have worked in hospitals, home care, rehabilitation and assisted living. I've always had something in me to help others. What I love best about my job is being there for someone who has kind of lost their way of being there for themselves like they used to and I want to help them gain that back or at least be there for them as their backbone and build a relationship.
