I became a caregiver because I spent a great deal of my time outside of school helping care for my great grandmother. Helping her through her surgeries and day to day activities I gained a passion for caring for others, and that is when I set out to become a cna. Now going forward I'm looking into a future in the medical field because for me, there was no better success than knowing a difference was being made in someone's life due to the care that they were receiving.

my name is kayla I've been a certified nursing assistant for 6 years now I am a mother of 4 little boys that I adore! I originally became a cna to keep my auntie home when she was in stage 3 terminal pancreatic cancer she passed away in 2009 and I've been cna certified ever since . I love being a cna because you touch people's lives on a daily basis it's a very rewarding job my life goal is to eventually become a occupational therapist and work with children in the future. I have experience in long term, respite, alzheimer and rehabilitation care . Dementia unit experience for 3 years and customer service training . I am currently car and first aid certified.

I became a caregiver after witnessing my grandmother care for my grandfather with Lou Gehrig's disease. She could have used the extra support and helping hands and at a young age I could only do so much. I have wanted to be a caregiver ever since.
