I started working in social services in 1997 for sunrise community for people with disablities. I knew then that was the field i wanted to be in i have many years in direct care all age's. I have supervised, trained staff, ran houses and worked in community. I truly love assisting others.

Hello my name is Tanisha Adams, I am 29 years old and have 3 kids. I have been in the CNA field since 2013. I am CPR and first aid trained. I specialize with dementia unit. I have worked with patients with copd diabetes. I cook, feed, light housekeeping, run errands, medication prompting, changing and assisting to and from the bathroom, also in and out of bed and wheelchairs. I enjoy every moment of being a CNA. I have been a licensed CNA for over 15 years. I have worked with a number of clients over the years. Which includes a tetraplegic for over 10 years strokes clients , clients with dementia and Parkinson's. During my 15 years I have developed a lot of various tools and knowledge to assist and help my clients. I was the nurse manager for my client who was a tetraplegic she passed away in March of 2023 . I was also the lead nurse manager for another family for 11 months. My management skills have developed throughout my career. I am very dependable and have excellent references.

I have always enjoyed taking care of others. I had a home daycare for 16 years, registered with the state of Texas. I have worked off and on for several years doing home health with agencies ad well as private families. I have also worked at the Mexia State School. Now, I work at the local highschool as a paraeducation aide in the life skills class. At all of these jobs I have worked with both well individuals and individuals with mental and or physical handicaps. For the last 3 years I have been the caregiver for my grandma who suffers from dementia.
