From my previous private care patients, I've learned it's important to not only get the job done, but to build a relationship with each person. Knowing your patient allows you to better do your job. Hello, my name is Annette I am a proud mom of five amazing children I have had the privilege to be a stay-at-home mom for the last 11 years but during this time I decided to go to cosmetology school for 2 years part-time while my kids attended school. I then became self-employed due to caring for my children and my father who became ill in 2019 I cared for him and was his caretaker up until November 2020 when he passed. I was then introduced to a family who was looking for a private caregiver in September of 2021 and I assisted her while in hospice until her passing in November 2021. Having experienced this line of work I came to a realization of how much of a need there is in this industry to help our elderly in their time of need and how meaningful this role is. I have been in the medical field since 2004. I started as a medical assistant. Then went back to school for my CNA license in 2009. I then went to work at Oak Bend hospital for 5 years. When I left there I started doing private duty cases.

I became a caregiver because I really enjoy helping others and making their life easier and happier. Hello and thank you for reading my bio. I am originally from Boston and the youngest of four children . I have two grown daughters of my own one that lives in LA and the other in the Boston area. I have a degree in psychology and truly love people and laughing with them as much as possible. Most recently I took care of a woman in the Malibu California area for a bit over four years and I loved making her smile and making her feel pretty , Cooking her meals and tidying up her house. She was a delight and her family was very kind. I miss her. Besides that I've had friends and family who have been sick from cancer for strokes, arthritis and simply loneliness and I've always gone out of my way for a visit, hand holding or to cook a meal. I am pleasant and service oriented and these things make me happy. Currently I am working on making organic pet treats as I love animals too. I think what makes me a great caregiver is that I have been doing this for years with personal family members from my grandfather have always loved working with other I'm very passionate of what I do and I have a lot of patience which I think is a key thing when working with others.
