I have been working as a caregiver for the past 16 years. I love to help seniors in what ever their needs demand. I believe, love for seniors is something that comes naturally in me. I was raised in a culture that takes care of our senior loved ones and that is probably why it comes naturally. I have lost both parents whom I love and very close to. All my previous clients, I respect and take care of them like I'm taking care of my own.

-I recognize the fact that seniors are very proud and want to maintain dignity in every area of their lives for the rest of their life. I give 100% of myself to ensure it happens the way they want it to and never super impose my life's philosophy on them. The little things of old mean so much to seniors and I provide them what they need to feel confident and safe; giving them the ability to trust that I have their best interest at heart. If my senior is not comfortable with a suggestion I will never force it. -I became a caregiver to give back to a special class of people who have taught me so much about life, giving, and the restoring of things that others give up on. Seniors have lived and have such a rich history that I love to hear about. My life is richer because a senior took the time to teach me about right choices and decisions. -I like being a caregiver because I love making a difference in the life of individuals wanting to maintain as much of the full quality of their life as possible; without interruption. It's an accomplishment and a great reward for me. -A personal achievement which I am very proud of is giving a client the confidence to push forward and never give up on things she loves doing; getting her hair and nails done, playing bridge, making those doctor's appointments, and entertaining at the tender age of 86. My ability to motivate her and get her where she wants to be; even when she doesn't feel like it, is one of my most proudest achievements.

I have been a care giver for 13 years. I am very passionate, loving and caring person. I have dealt with individuals who have bipolar, Alzheimer's, schizophrenia etc. I am a certified trainer in CPR/FIRST-Aid also I am certified by the state to train medication administration. I am a great listener and have much patience.

I feel that my welcoming bedside matter. I make my client and there family feel comfortable, I treat my client with respect, and have them keep their dignity. I became a caregiver at a early age. My grandmother was going blind, and she went total blind, I was nine.. my sister and I both were awarded custody to my grandmother. I know how it is to lose apart of you. I was paying bills for my grandmother, making sure people didn't take advantage of her.. helping her with her cloths. This where the reason why I do what I do.. I enjoy helping people that need my assistance. Being a caregiver started helping my grandmother adapt to loosing her sight... I also was a type of kid that would go to the elder that lived in our building, and do aron's for them...I have always been an old soul, that is what my grandmother called it.. I guess you can say my this is my destiny.. I will bring nothing but kindness, compassion, and patients to your love ones..

Married with 4 adult children and 9 grandchildren. Born and raised in Pittsburgh pa. I was groomed into this field by my grandmother. She was the youngest and only girl of 7. My grandmother migrated from the south a town called Little Rock Arkansas. My grandmother didn't believe in nursing homes unless they were absolutely necessary. Every time one of her Brothers came close to death, they would come to Pittsburgh we all take care of them in shifts. My grandmother had 13 grandchildren and we all did our part to take care of her brothers. Each and every one of them. I didnt like it at first , I was only 14, but through time...I have grown to love taking care of people. This is one of the most rewarding jobs you could have. My grandmother has gone on to glory but she left a great legacy. And it lives in all of her children and grandchildren.

I have been caregiving for over 15 years. I communicate well with seniors, and I can also am very good at figuring out what kind of care they need.

I became a care giver as a way of giving back after my mother passed away. It is important to me to bring about a kind, compassionate way of getting around the inevitable. I enjoy people and have a great deal of respect for the elderly and understand how hard life can become, when independence starts slipping away therefore; I try to make peoples lives easier a day at a time.

I have lost a lot of family members over the years. In those years I learned the importance of companionship with loved ones. I totally understand the wanting of finding that one person that you can trust and rely to take care of your loved ones. Having a sick family member is very emotional and difficult to cope with. All you want is to find that caregiver that you can trust to look and assist your sick relative as if he or she was part of your family. I am that caregiver.

What are your personality traits or expertise that help you be a great caregiver? I am dependable, caring, compassionate, a great helper and good listener. I have experience with various health conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, blindness, kidney disease, wound care, GERD, teach care, dialysis patients and more. What attracted you to being a caregiver? I have worked in healthcare for over 17 years. I am a former medical assistant at UCSF and Kaiser Permanente. What do you enjoy most about being a caregiver? I enjoy caring for patients and being a companion, they can enjoy. It brings joy to my heart knowing that I helped someone get through the day, night or through a difficult time in their life when they have an ailing medical condition. What is a personal achievement you are proud of? My children who are 23 and 17 and obtaining my Bachelor's degree in business management .

I love to see the smiles on the elderly or people I am helping, I love to play games, watch movies, or go for a walk or outing with them. what would make me a good care giver is I am an open honest happy person and just want the best for my clients I want them to leave this earth happy and knowing they were loved every minute I had with them, I just hope to find a nice client that enjoys being with me and likes me for who I am, I am a hard worker and on time to any job please pick me to care for you I wont let you down. I am a good caregiver because I am attentive to my client I never had any problems from any of my clients or any of their family members I go above and beyond for my client to make sure they are satisfied with their services on a day-to-day basis

I am dependable, patient, compassionate, attentive and trustworthy. I love care for others and just to be able to offer comfort or safety to another person is fulfilling. I'm most proud of my daughter but also the goal I set for myself of furthering my education of which I'm progressing nicely.

My name is Marie. I've been in the healthcare field since 2007. I started out as a Patient Care Technician for Citrus Memorial Hospital caring for those in need. I enjoyed that experience emencly. I wanted to further myself and attend college for health care administration at which time I joined the home health team in the office. I greatly miss direct patient care and decided this would be a great opportunity to get back involved. Im really looking forward to helping my community and giving patients the care they deserve.

I am a certified CNA who has a passion for people. I strongly believe everyone has a right to be treated fairly. If they are going through a minor or major medical setback, there should be understanding from the people who are there to take care of them. No one should be afraid to have genuine, sincere care for their loved ones. One of my favorite achievements was while I was doing my clinicals, one of the residents was having a bad day. I asked her about the type of music she liked and we danced in her room. As I was leaving, she called for me and said thank you. She expressed to me it made her feel good to know someone was willing to hear her and give her special attention.

I have been a caregiver for over 12 years. I became a caregiver because I wanted to work one on one with clients. Working one on one helps me to focus on their individual needs. That helps to keep them in the best of health and spirits.

I only have been a caretaker for my Grandmother and my father in law. I worked in the ER as a Registration Associate and a few Doctors offices.
