I am offering to do errands for seniors and light housework when I come to the home with the results of the errands. I will do grocery shopping, bring the groceries to their home and put them away in their kitchen. I can run other errands as well; getting prescriptions, going to the post office, go to the bank, go to the drug store, go to the cleaners, etc. I have three volunteer jobs and I have a full time job in which I deal with the public on a daily basis.

In my family I watched my grandparents and parents take care of the seniors, elders or who ever needed care in our family. Taking care of the people who once took good care of me became a part of my nature. I care for my grandparents when they no longer was able to take care for themselves and one day I will return the favor to my parents and care for them. I became a companion/caregiver because they are so many people who do not have family members that are able to care for them in their seniors years. And since I was nurture from a child to care for people who are in need of tender loving care. This profession chose me. Meeting people from all walks of life and listening to their life stories is like living in their time. Companionship is what most people miss the most in their life. And to just take the time out to listen to their life experiences is good for their well being. My greatest achievement to any person of any age I care for is smiling. If I can get a client to recognize it is okay to smile about any situation you are going through. Then being an companion and caregiver to them is worth the time, effort and patience.

I became a caregiver 15 years ago because I enjoy helping others. I started out as a CNA working in a nursing home. The most rewarding part of providing care is knowing that because of me someone's life is improving and that I make a difference. After my work as a CNA, I entered the public school system and became a handicapped children's assistant. I currently work as a paraprofessional providing assistance to children with special needs. I am a mother of 3 wonderful children ages 17, 7, and 2. I feel very fortunate to be able to offer my compassionate and patience to those that truly need my help.

I am 33 and I have three daughters and a puppy named cupcake. I took care of My client Mrs. Hyatt for nine years and in those nine years I provided her with care and love. Over time I cared about her and I loved her I was sad to see her go but it was for her safety. She lived alone and I only worked four hours a day which I split into to different times of the day so I could be with her during the morning until right before lunchtime and then in the evening before dinner. I currently work for a home health agency and I work only two days a week. I have a current cna license, I am first aid and cpr certified. I can provide all the activities of daily living needs for female or male which include bathing, dressing, grooming, skin and oral care, hair care.

I became a caregiver for many personal reasons, I have family members who has permanent disabilities, my heart is very compassionate for others in their trials in life. As I can remember I wanted to be a nurse, but life myself has delayed my dreams, I find it rewarding in helping others. I became a Caregiver/CNA because I love helping people. I like being able to support others, make them laugh and enjoy life, give them a sense of caring and love. I have a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice Administration from University of Phoenix/Detroit, and a degree in Communications as well. I am a published author, and enjoy true crime shows and novels. I am an excellent cook and housekeeper. I am very reliable, timely, and detail oriented. Because of my years of experience in this field; I provide the family of the loved one I am caring for a sense of relief and stability. I am foremost a Christian woman.

I started working as a caregiver through my church, it was very rewarding. I have experienced the gratification of doing work that is meaningful and very important. Caregivers become part of the clients family, and they want to feel comfortable that their loved ones are being treated with care, empathy, and respect. I have always treated my clients the way I want my loved ones to be treated. It is the best thing ever to know that you are doing work that is honorable and appreciated.

What makes me a great care giver is that I am very patient and have a great deal of compassion and understanding. I am also very attentive,dependable and trustworthy! I have been a caregiver (Behavior tech/Rehab tech) for over 3 years. I also take care of my grandmother when needed who has dementia.
