Becoming a caregiver I love providing service to those that cannot do for themselves. The smile on their or the love ones faces is a joy to me and makes me feel I have done my job right. I have always enjoyed helping people so I know I am doing the right thing. And what make me be a great caregiver I'm always giving 100% in every thing I do and to do the best job I can with no excuses. I'm an empathy person, I also try to bring a sense of laughter and joyous to my work. If I can bring a smile or laugh to my client's day that means a lot to me. Liking caregiver I love seeing a smile of appreciation from my client or the family of the client. It's the small deed that I do, knowing it means the world to a family in need. I have always helped people my hole life, my mother was a nurse and my father was a police officer, i took care of my father before he passed away from prostate cancer and my mother was diagnosed with dementia. I have always been the loving and compationate person that will do anything and everything to help someone when they need help. I have worked in a nursing home for over 20 patients knowing there names with there medications where i would help them get dressed eat shower and change them and keep them happy while giving exelent care and medical managment. I am also CPR certified with the sate of california. I am currently going to college to be a EMT and I am dedicated to the medical field and helping people is what i do best.

Taking care of my grandparents was a remarkable experience. Not only have I looked after my grandparents but I also took care of my mother who has OCD, manic disorder and was on serval medications. The traits I have that make me a great caregiver is that I am patient, kind hearted, and reliable. I became a caregiver right out of high school and only until resently, after 27 years caregiving I did give it up. For personal reasons only. But I'm back cause I found out that its all I know how to do, is care for people.

I have been working in healthcare part time for the last 15 years. I have worked with Sacramento IHS for the last three years. What made me interested in working with home healthcare was due to my father. becoming sick with cancer. After taking care of him and watching how the hospice nurse were so caring, it made me wanna get involved in the field. I currently work full-time in human resource, so this will be something part time that I will be doing between the hours of 4 PM and 9 PM Monday-Friday. Weekends on some occasions. I'm 47 yrs old . I've been teaching for 23 yrs in elementary ,preschool and infant classes.. For the last 5 years I was working full time to part time working in school and taking care of my 89 yr old aunt.I went part time when my aunt had a stroke 3 yrs ago .I fully take care of her now in the Bay Area on weekends Leave Friday nights and I'm there till Wednesday afternoon.Im looking for some part time work to supplement some income and still take care of my aunt .Teaching is not optional now.I provide meals on a daily bases for my aunt ,bathing,doctor appt.,recreational time which includes walking etc.shopping and many more .
